RAMMSTEIN's latest single,
"Mein Teil", has entered the German singles chart at position No. 2.
"Mein Teil" comes off the group's upcoming CD,
"Reise Reise", due on November 2 through
Universal Records. A video (
Windows Media,
Real Media) for the track was shot on June 2-3 in Berlin, Germany. A fifty-person crew and director
Zoran Bihac, who also directed the
"Links 2,3,4" clip, realized the concept for the video together with the band.
The follow-up to 2001's
"Mutter",
"Reise Reise" (which roughly translates to "Journey Journey") was recorded in Spain and Germany. Production duties on the CD were handled by
Jacob Hellner, who worked with the group on
"Mutter". Other songs set to appear on the CD include
"Reise Reise",
"Amerika",
"Los",
"Wo Bist Du",
"Dalai Lama",
"Keine Lust",
"Morgenstern" and
"Amore".
In other news,
RAMMSTEIN's management has reportedly offered to settle their differences with top German
RAMMSTEIN fan site,
RammsteinFan.de, over
allegations that the site's owners are capitalizing on the band's name. "The manager of
RAMMSTEIN explicitly apologizes for the standardized and harsh tone of the [cease-and-desist letter] from the lawyers [previously sent to
RammsteinFan.de]," reads a posting on
RAMMSTEIN's official web site. "Talks have been proposed for next week in order to clear out all differences."
