RAMMSTEIN: 'Mein Teil' Single Enters German Chart At No. 2 - Aug. 4, 2004
RAMMSTEIN's latest single, "Mein Teil", has entered the German singles chart at position No. 2. "Mein Teil" comes off the group's upcoming CD, "Reise Reise", due on November 2 through Universal Records. A video (Windows Media, Real Media) for the track was shot on June 2-3 in Berlin, Germany. A fifty-person crew and director Zoran Bihac, who also directed the "Links 2,3,4" clip, realized the concept for the video together with the band.

The follow-up to 2001's "Mutter", "Reise Reise" (which roughly translates to "Journey Journey") was recorded in Spain and Germany. Production duties on the CD were handled by Jacob Hellner, who worked with the group on "Mutter". Other songs set to appear on the CD include "Reise Reise", "Amerika", "Los", "Wo Bist Du", "Dalai Lama", "Keine Lust", "Morgenstern" and "Amore".

In other news, RAMMSTEIN's management has reportedly offered to settle their differences with top German RAMMSTEIN fan site, RammsteinFan.de, over allegations that the site's owners are capitalizing on the band's name. "The manager of RAMMSTEIN explicitly apologizes for the standardized and harsh tone of the [cease-and-desist letter] from the lawyers [previously sent to RammsteinFan.de]," reads a posting on RAMMSTEIN's official web site. "Talks have been proposed for next week in order to clear out all differences."

I usually get concept-style videos and such... but I don't get it.

I thought it was supposed to be about cannibalism. Particularly the events that took place in Germany not too long ago, with two men agreeing to concentual cannibalism... Even sharing a nice slice of wiener-shnitzle. Pun intended.

like movies with chicken fucking and other barnyard adventures, people getting shit and puked on, David Hasselhoff, and cannibalism. Rammstein is probably considered pretty normal.

It's not as catchy as some of their earlier hits...

That's pretty messed up. But then again...Fighting twins, uber-skinny guy doing rehab, angel giving a BJ...not bad for Rammstein! Song's not bad, either, always been a fan.

As for the concept, I just took it as each band member's self-struggle. The end threw me off a little bit...the five of 'em being walked down a busy street must've been one of those "Guess You Had To Be There" things. Anyway, it beats the hell out of the Darkness.

This band is nothing but a bunch of annoying sounds on top of chunky, repetive half-riffs. Apparently many people find the "singer" to be amusing, but I think he's just fucking annoying.

There is nothing more satisfyng that to see a good video on TV; disturbing yeah, but fucking good. Not the best but is good enough for people who like the "Germen stuff".

This is a major "wtf" video: dark, weird and disturbing it's Great! I can figure out most of what's going on, but what the hell is flake doing? Gymnastics? Ballet? Physical Therapy? And what is Till doing in that scene during the chorus when he's tearing up the angle? It looks like he's giving a BJ in one of the cut scenes (*shudder* I hope not). Can anyone figure this out?
