'Guitar Hero: Van Halen' Official Trailer Available

The official trailer for Guitar Hero: Van Halen can be viewed below. The fourth (and probably) Guitar Hero game of 2009 will hit shelves just in time for Christmas on December 22. David Lee Roth will be at the mic. According to IGN, Activision (via MTV) has unveiled the complete song lineup for Guitar Hero: Van Halen, songs from VAN HALEN will dominate the list, but other bands have snuck in as well. click on this an bang cut michael out of this on also,you know i grew up a fan and half to give them props but seriously if i kicked a guy out of the band after all the years that we had,i would at least have to 1 be man enough to say so and 2 say ya i hate michael but he was with us from the beginning and he helped make us and he deserves the right to one be representing in things we did and also should profit off things,it would be one thing if this was all new van halen songs with wolfie playing on them but these are the songs michael played,sure eddie was a huge attraction to vh but watch old video's bootlegs,michaels presence and what not added just as much to the overall vh as did everyone eles.what's next eddie you gonna go cut michael out of all the old video's,etc.

i live with my girlfriend dickbag, bought a house, and all our couple friends get drunk with us and play GH. not a VH fan, probably won't buy this one, but not to have MA on this either?!?!? thats going to piss off a lot of fans

mikey gets his fair share of money for what he did on those albums, and if he doesn,t its his fault for not covering his ass.
Van Halen has influenced just about every band/guitarist in some way or another. I;m personally glad there is no Sammy on this game. His songs with them were really schmaltzy schmoozy mangina crap.

GOOD FOR THEM.
Good to see at least 3/4th of the band that actually mattered in this bands history in the game. Classic stuff from a classic band.
Would have def been better if Mike was there but he and Dave just dont get along. Also lets not over estimate Michael ANthony's skills...Eddie came up with most of the bass lines anyway. It was always about Alex/Eddie playing together and Mike doing just enough with the bottom-end. Ask any player Michael Anthyony was a decent bassist who contributed more with his backing vocals than he did with his sub sonic bass work. Get over yourself Chickenfoot fans....Hagar and Anthony can have their Jam Band and play at Cabo Wabo.
These are the tunes this band will forever be know for and this is the era that "mattered" in this bands history.
Sorry if the truth stings Van hagar fans.

most of the other tracks are pure rubbish.
fountains of wayne? jimmy eats world(strong contender for gayest band name ever)
having wolfie on here is a slap in the face.
but its not different than using luigi in super mario brothers.
its just a game. now if michael anthony's bass lines were re-recorded (aka ozzy's early catolouge) then we would have the right to scream bloody gore...

I agree it's a mockery of a travesty of a sham for the true VH fans not to have MA represented on the game since that's going to be him you're hearing.
On the other hand, anyone who's paid any attention to this band knows by now that with them it's never about what the fans want. It's only about what Ed wants. End of story.

It's cool how they transform the look of the band from 1978 - 2009 but hello how about adding the other parts of the transformation like Michael Anthony, Sammy Hagar, Gary Cherone back to Sammy, then to the current line up.
Lame ass Eddie is so much of an asshole.

Are the kids of people that were born in 1984 and only knew of the Van Hagar days of Van Halen, so why would they buy something that there parents didn't even listen too?
My kids are 21 and 25 and they either grew up listenng to Sammy or Gary, or don't even know of Van Halen at all.
It won't work.
Slash from GnR is the icon guitar hero here not Eddie Van Halen.
Sorry, but my kids and others grew up watching power Rangers and Van Halen "Dreams" was playing at the end, that was the biggest song around and probably still is, for the GH generation reconizing any Van Halen. And they will be looking for that song on GH to by it too.
