SAM TOTMAN: DON'T ASK ME ABOUT GUITAR HERO

During a recent interview with Metal Injection, when DRAGONFORCE guitarist Sam Totman was asked if he was sick of being asked about Guitar Hero he commented "Don't ask me if I can play my song on Guitar Hero because I get asked that like five times a day." NEW SITE CHANGES!

You may have noticed that over the past few months quiet changes have been made to the site. First we gave you new artist pages. Check out your favorite and you'll find widgets, videos, music, and much more. Plus they look great.

A few weeks back we also updated our Artists page. You'll see highlighted artists up top in blue. These change as artists are updated with news, video, and music. This is a great page to make your first port-of-call after the news section!

Today we've relaunched three other pages. Music and Video are all new. You can now embed all of our music and video posted to the site in your blog, web site, or MySpace/Facebook profiles. At the right of these pages you'll see charts driven by what YOU do on our site. You can also leave comments at all songs and videos, rate them, and favorite them in our new profile system (more on that in a sec).







 

The Releases page has gotten a huge makeover. Every album now has its own home page where you can see the available tracks, rate it, leave a review, or comment on others' reviews. Snazzy huh?

Finally, we just launched our new profile pages. If you're a subscriber to our email newsletters, you can log in, add your own picture, keep track of the latest updates on our site (and partner sites), follow your favorite videos and music, and tell us what bands you want to hear about.

Of course, many of these new features require that you be a member of the site to use them, so please join today!

We are, of course, in a beta phase and need your help to make the site work the best for YOU. If you see any problems or want to suggest changes to the new features, please send an email to webmaster@roadrunnerrecords.com with "NEW SITE REPORT" in the subject line. DRAGONFORCE IS CAUSING MAYHEM EVERYWHERE!

Fun times were had on July 15th when the Rockstar Mayhem Festival stopped by the Cricket Ampitheatre in Chula Vista, California.

Dragonforce graced these Chula Vistans with such powerful super-fast crunchy riffs that most were left with their faces rocked clean off. Well maybe not literally but I think you get the idea.

Ok. Listen and listen good! I went to Mayhem Festival in Phoenix, AZ @ Cricket Pavillion. Which is a great venue. Front row, Pit seat. I went to see Distured. Not Slipknot, not Dragonforce. HOWEVER, not only did I see Drangonforce and LOVE them, (And That Is Not My Type Of Music AT ALL) But I meet the band and they are amaing guys. Herman Li is a god, alone with the rest of the band. So for all of you little btiches talking all your shit about how great Slipkot is and how bad Dragon force was let me state three things to you. 1. Slipknot is nothing but a rip-off of a very great group called Mushroomhead. 2) Dragonforce is a very talented group. Just becuase it's bot the type of music YOU prefer doesn't mean they suck. You suck for being so close minded. 3) If you're STILL stuck on "Oh Dragonforce Sucks", F*ck YOU. Know why? Saw Dragonforce in Houston, they played a helluva lot better than they did when they played in the No Fear tour with Killswitch. it actually looked like Sam cleaned up his act so he played with Herman alot better, and ZP was actually hitting his notes. In Operation Ground and Pound, at No Fear he didnt do that endind yell whatever you wanna call it, but just some random thing and it angered me, but now in mayhem he hit it perefectly and I WAS AMAZED. I have been a Dragonforce Fan since before GH2 even came out so don't worry I am not a GH bandwagon jumper

so what everyone is saying is that dragonforce isn't crap... im sorry but they are not the best band around here to get that much support. i would have picked a different band to be on the stage at mayhem.

SUNDAY ROADRUNNER BLOG ROUNDUP
