NEW SITE CHANGES!

You may have noticed that over the past few months quiet changes have been made to the site. First we gave you new artist pages. Check out your favorite and you'll find widgets, videos, music, and much more. Plus they look great.

A few weeks back we also updated our Artists page. You'll see highlighted artists up top in blue. These change as artists are updated with news, video, and music. This is a great page to make your first port-of-call after the news section!

Today we've relaunched three other pages. Music and Video are all new. You can now embed all of our music and video posted to the site in your blog, web site, or MySpace/Facebook profiles. At the right of these pages you'll see charts driven by what YOU do on our site. You can also leave comments at all songs and videos, rate them, and favorite them in our new profile system (more on that in a sec).

The Releases page has gotten a huge makeover. Every album now has its own home page where you can see the available tracks, rate it, leave a review, or comment on others' reviews. Snazzy huh?

Finally, we just launched our new profile pages. If you're a subscriber to our email newsletters, you can log in, add your own picture, keep track of the latest updates on our site (and partner sites), follow your favorite videos and music, and tell us what bands you want to hear about.

Of course, many of these new features require that you be a member of the site to use them, so please join today!

We are, of course, in a beta phase and need your help to make the site work the best for YOU. If you see any problems or want to suggest changes to the new features, please send an email to webmaster@roadrunnerrecords.com with "NEW SITE REPORT" in the subject line. If you receive an error, please be as detailed as possible, including what page you were on, what browser you are using, and copy any error message you receive into the body of the email.

DOLLS BOUND DOWN UNDER

Hot off their once-in-a-lifetime performance on PBS Soundstage, and last year's participation in Little Steven's Underground Garage Tour, the legendary New York Dolls will be heading Down Under next for a slew of dates in support of their latest album, One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This, which was hailed by Rolling Stone Magazine as 2006's 12th best album!

Much Better Than American Idol!

The legendary New York Dolls were recently asked to perform an exclusive show for PBS' acclaimed Soundstage show, and the thrilling results will be premiered TOMORROW, February 1st, 2007 (check local listings).

Widely hailed as the sonic god-fathers of punk rock and fashion plates for most every American glam rock bands that followed (yes, we're looking at you, Aerosmith), the Dolls rocked Soundstage with a mix of established classics like "Personality Crisis" and "Jet Boy," from their '70s origins, revved-up new tunes like "Take a Good Look at My Good Looks" and "Gimme Luv & Turn on the Light," from last year's One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This album, and even a cover of Bo Diddley's "Pills."

New York Dolls Rank High On Rolling Stone's Top Albums Of 2006

To Rolling Stone, the New York Dolls' Roadrunner debut, One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This is an album that will surely be remembered forever. It ranked at number 12 on their list of the top 50 albums of 2006 (even higher than Johnny Cash!). Here's what Rolling Stone had to say:

"David Johansen is no longer twenty-four, so this reunion album surprises by revealing the dirty little secret beneath the Seventies Dolls' playful pansexuality: religious emotion. "Dancing on the Lip of a Volcano" is explicitly pagan; "Take a Good Look at My Good Looks" begins, "Spirit slumbers in nature and awakens in mind" before asking, "So what if this old world is just artifice?" New York Dolls To Be Featured On NYC's "Some Real Music"

The New York Dolls will be featured on Some Real Music next Wednesday night, December 20 at midnight in New York City. You can find it on Time Warner cable channel 57, RCN cable channel 85. Those of you outside of New York can watch the show on the web at MNN.org (select channel 57; windows media player required, free download at website).

Footage of the Dolls' recent performance at the South Street Seaport for The Seaport Music Festival will be featured, as well as interview footage. It'll be a great show!

FaceCulture Interviews Sylvain Sylvain

FaceCulture spoke to guitarist and orginal member Sylvain Sylvain of the legendary punk band, the New York Dolls. AMC (American Movie Classics) chose the New York Dolls' song, "Take a Good Look at My Good Looks," for their 'Movies at 8' feature this month, which sets clips of primetime movies to music by a cutting edge artist.

What's more, Dolls legends David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain marked the occasion by answering a few questions about their favorite movies, which you can read by clicking HERE.

Brian Delaney, drummer for pioneering punk rock band, the New York Dolls sat down for an interview with Toazted.com. Brian tells of how the surviving members of the band reunited and how the fallen members will never be forgotten, how it feels to see younger faces in the crowd amongst the many generations of people at the shows and much more! ENTER THE GARAGE

The seminal New York Dolls will hit the road this November, headlining Little Steven's Underground Garage Tour. The Dolls, who recently marked their return after an extended hiatus with the critically acclaimed album One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This, will crisscross the country from November 6th through December 2nd, bringing out The Supersuckers in support. This tour will mark the first full headlining tour the band has done in over 30 years. This is a tour surely not to be missed, as the band will be hitting markets they have never played before.
