Sanctity is making the most of their tour with Machine Head and Arch Enemy by documenting each and every aspect of being on the road. From the kind of grub they eat, to the kinds of grubs that get stuck in their van's grill, you can read all about it and see some great photos on their MySpace blog.

North Carolina thrashers Sanctity are gearing up to conquer the road again. After a successful run with respected progressive metallers Symphony X, the band is cranking the volume up to 11 and heading out on the Black Tyranny Tour.
The tour will feature headliners Machine Head and Arch Enemy, as well as Throwdown. Sanctity front man Jared MacEachern will also be taking over backing vocal duties for label-mates Machine Head throughout the tour, filling in for injured bassist Adam Duce. "We're really stoked to have found a guy as killer as Jared to help us through this situation," commented Machine Head drummer Dave McClain. Kicking off on September 7th in California, the month long tour is poised to deliver Sanctity as a seasoned brand of thrash to welcoming audiences.
Sanctity recently shot a video for their upcoming single "Beloved Killer" with director Ramon Boutviseth (Seemless, Daylight Dies) in their home town of Asheville, North Carolina. Boutviseth has directed two of the band's previous videos, for "Zeppo" and "Beneath The Machine." The video for "Beloved Killer" is set to premiere on September 6.
Metal Maniacs magazine has praised the band for offering a "modern twist on old-school thrash," standing amongst an elite few American bands spearheading the modern thrash revival. Come see their trailblazing thrash explosion on the Black Tyranny Tour!

Unfortunately, Machine Head bassist Adam Duce will miss the Black Tyranny Tour in the U.S. due to a broken leg suffered while dirt biking in Redding, CA. Initially thought to be nothing more than a bad sprain, x-rays later confirmed the break, which required surgery to attach a steel plate and two screws to the broken bone. A disappointed Duce laments, "It sucks to be in this position, because we have such a killer tour set up for the end of the summer and now we'll have to find a replacement for me. I've never missed one show that this band has ever played up to this point and I never thought I would see the day when Machine Head would be playing and I wouldn't be on stage." The band are currently rehearsing with temporary bassist candidates and are in the final stages of selecting Duce's replacement, the details of which will be announced as soon as they are determined. All Black Tyranny dates in the U.S. will go on as scheduled, and Duce will be returning for the Australian and European legs of The Black Crusade Tour, beginning with the band's Loudpark date in Japan.
Machine Head's latest album, The Blackening, has already been voted the year's best at the Kerrang! Awards - the first of many kudos yet to come, so pick it up in stores today.

Machine Head, Arch Enemy, Throwdown and Sanctity are going to bring the pain to you motherfuckers, and carnage will have no rules on this tour. Beware The Black Tyranny!!!"
Arch Enemy's Angela Gossow adds, "Arch Enemy teaming up with Machine Head in the U.S. is a big FUCK YOU to everybody who dwells in the past! We certainly aren't! Instead we're looking forward to crushing the U.S. together and leaving nothing but a tangled wreck of molten metal in our wake!"
Gossow continues, "As an added bonus for Arch Enemy fans, this will be the first time in three years that the (recently reunited) Amott brothers will be bringing their insane dual-guitar shredding to American soil! I am very excited to get back on stage and celebrate the sheer power of extreme music, all wrapped up in this fantastic tour package!"
"Let freedom ring with a METAL blast!!!"
