Megadeth bassist David Ellefson celebrated his 47th birthday on Saturday, November 12, while the band was in Chile to perform. He posted the following video of himself hanging out with—and receiving some really cool gifts from—a Chilean fan, as well as a special T-shirt which was made for him by some of the members of Megadeth's online forums. Megadeth are currently in the middle of a South American tour, which they kicked off with multiple dates in Argentina, a country that's always welcomed them with open arms. (They recorded a live CD and DVD there not long ago.) Here's an interview with Dave Mustaine, from Argentinian TV.

Megadeth bassist David Ellefson checked in from Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday, as the band kicked off their South American tour. They'll be down there for a few more weeks, before launching Gigantour in the U.S.

Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick sat for an exhaustive 22-minute interview about his entire history as a guitarist when he and the band's bassist, David Ellefson, were in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a Jackson Guitars clinic. He discusses picking up the guitar as a child, his classical training, his time with Jag Panzer and Nevermore, his recruitment into Megadeth, and much, much more, as well as demonstrating his signature series guitar.

Megadeth bassist David Ellefson was recently interviewed by Lambgoat.com. The wide-ranging conversation covered the band's new album TH1RT3EN, the "Big Four" concerts, and even the remastered versions of Megadeth's back catalog that were released a few years ago. Regarding TH1RT3EN and his personal contributions to it, Ellefson says, "As far as creation goes, 'New World Order' was the main one.
