Guitarist Jeff Waters of the Canadian band Annihilator (whose first three albums were released on Roadrunner) released a video recently in which he talks about his longtime friendship with Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine. Revolver magazine has put together a special issue surrounding the "Big Four" thrash bands, in order to celebrate the recent shows Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer have been playing together - the next of which will be on September 14 at Yankee Stadium in New York City. At the Sofia, Bulgaria show, the bands all came together onstage to perform a cover of Diamond Head's "Am I Evil?" and on Revolver's website, some of the players look back at the rehearsals that led up to that cover. Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson will be one of the musicians participating in the free "Metal Masters 2" clinic, to be held at the Best Buy Theater in New York City on Monday, September 12, two days prior to the "Big Four" show at Yankee Stadium. Along with Ellefson, Slayer guitarist Kerry King, Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante and bassist Frank Bello, and former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy will also appear.

Megadeth have recorded the song "Never Dead" specifically for the soundtrack to the Konami game of the same name. Frontman Dave Mustaine can be seen talking about the song, which will also appear on the band's new album TH1RT3EN (due out November 1), in the video below.
