Nightwish mainman Tuomas Holopainen was recently interviewed by Italian journalist Stefania Bonomo. During the course of the 15-minute conversation, he explains what sets the band's new album Imaginaerum apart from anything they've done before, the origin of the title, how making it changed his approach to music-making, and much more.

Nightwish vocalist Anette Olzon has posted an update on the band's Facebook page, dealing with rehearsals for their upcoming Los Angeles performance and subsequent tour in support of Imaginaerum, which will be in US record stores January 10, 2012. Olzon writes: "Hi all! "So, I thought it's time to write a little thing about our rehearsals over here in Helsinki and what we have been up to the last week. "Last Thursday we went to our rehearsal place already in the morning and it was really nice to get in front of the microphone again and hearing what the guys had done the days before. We have some nice things planned and its always interesting to hear if it works out and yeah, it did.

The Finnish magazine Kantri recently interviewed Nightwish mainman Tuomas Holopainen, and filmed him playing a 29-stop Fosters & Andrews organ in the Helsinki Music Centre. The instrument dates back to 1892.
