Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor was recently interviewed on Loudwire.com, and he had a lot to say about the future of both bands, as well as other things. Taylor has described plans to make Stone Sour's next studio release a "double concept album," and he went into some detail about themes when talking to Loudwire, saying, "It really is a mid-life crisis sort of thing. When you hit your mid-to-late 30s you can keep walking forward and embrace a new stage of your life and really become the man you are going to be or you can stand and stagnate and cling to the almost romantic angst of youth and really stop evolving at this point.
Slipknot and Stone Sour guitarist Jim Root will be launching a signature amplifier at this year's NAMM conference in Los Angeles on January 21. The Signature #4 Jim Root Terror Head is modelled after the dirty channel on the same amp that Root plays in the studio and on the road: the Orange Rockerverb 100.
