For this set, the band was joined by former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, replacing Roy Mayorga, whose wife is about to give birth. Mike Portnoy To Drum For Stone Sour In Rio

 
Stone Sour have announced that former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy will be joining them behind the kit, subbing in for the group's regular drummer Roy Mayorga, for a one-off upcoming show at the world-renowned Rock In Rio Festival on September 24. Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor performed an acoustic set this weekend at Staind frontman Aaron Lewis's It Takes A Community benefit concert, with proceeds from ticket sales going to local elementary schools. Taylor sang Stone Sour's "Bother" and Slipknot's "Snuff," making sure to bleep himself in deference to the all-ages crowd. He also performed some cover songs (Pink Floyd's "Nobody Home" and Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky") and combined the Stone Sour song "Through Glass" with Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" for an intriguing opening medley.
