Trivium

Hot Topic premiered this video of Trivium performing their song "Black" live from Florida's Chapman Studios. This clip is one of several featured on the DVD component of the special edition of Trivium's latest CD, In Waves. Trivium are currently on tour in Europe, but will be back in the U.S.

Trivium guitarist Corey Beaulieu and bassist Paolo Gregoletto were interviewed by the Camster blog when the band played Austria recently. In the clip below, they discuss a variety of subjects, from the band's earliest days on the tiny German indie label Lifeforce to what they absolutely have to bring on tour with them, and much more.

There's no place like home, but Trivium certainly aren't content with hanging their hats right now. They prefer to live on the road, bringing their brand of forward-thinking metal to the masses on a near-constant basis.

The conversation, which is split into two parts below, covers a range of subjects, from what locusts actually taste like to why guitarists get more media love than bassists to the sound of the band's latest record, In Waves.

Trivium recently interrupted their North American tour with Dream Theater to fly to Japan for a single performance at Loud Park. While they were there, they also participated in a signing for fans...and ate bugs.

The second video from Trivium's In Waves, "Built to Fall," made its world premiere today on Yahoo.com after several still images and teaser clips were released by the band. According to the group, it follows the "In Waves" clip sequentially, and all the videos from the album will be part of a single extended narrative.

This is a pretty fascinating interview with Trivium frontman Matt Heafy. It was shot by Metalship when the band was opening for Dream Theater in Montreal, and it's a wide-ranging, 15-minute conversation about art, the band's relationship with their fans, Heafy's own musical knowledge and training, the series of videos the band is making from In Waves, and much more.
