Trivium's Matt Heafy Wants To Work With Lady Gaga

 
Trivium singer/guitarist Matt Heafy says, "I would love to do something with Lady Gaga or Skrillex, things that are just totally different or even Angelo (Badalamenti) — I’m not going to try to pronounce his last name. He’s the guy that scores all of David Lynch’s movies, he makes really intense, just ambient noise textures, I think he would be really cool to collaborate with." It's all part of his attraction to "doing things that are opposites," according to an interview published today on Loudwire. Heafy wants to break out of the metal mold, because he feels like no one else is doing anything truly new at the moment.

Today at 4 PM EST, Matt Heafy, Corey Beaulieu and Nick Augusto of Trivium will be participating in a live video chat from the studios of WJRR radio in Orlando, Florida. The band will talk with DJ Pat Lynch and perform their new single "Built to Fall." You can watch the live webcast at this link, starting at 4 PM. He writes, "In this lesson, I will be chatting about the fundamentals of rhythm guitar playing; chatting about song-writing, the songs that helped shape my rhythm guitar style and exercise routine, and creating some hybrid-exercise-riffs based off of some Trivium songs."
