"XV", the new album from KING'S X, sold 4,450 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 145 on the Billboard 200 chart. This marked the first time in over a decade that the band had cracked the Top 200 in the first week of release.

"XV" was recorded and mixed at Wireworld Studios in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Michael Wagener (SKID ROW, ALICE COOPER). This is the second KING'S X album in a row with Wagener manning the boards. Pleased with the results of 2005's "Ogre Tones", the band headed into the studio more prepared and creative than ever before.

"We really enjoyed working with him on the last album," guitarist Ty Tabor said shortly before entering the studio to record the new CD. "There was no pre-production on anything and we were pleased with how it turned out. This time, we're doing some pre-production, some writing together and we're going to try to outdo ourselves. We're going in this time with a complete and prepared attack."

I met Jerry Gaskill again @ the Motorhead show in Asbury Park a couple of weeks back.

I love his drumming. King's X are such a great great band!

It's been seven years since I last saw King's X. That's too damn long. I've been jamming the new album since it came out. Good stuff.

The King's...King's X is truly one of the best heavy rock bands around...on the one hand to each his/her own if you don't dig or get the music but to say these guys suck tells me more about the fact that you may not know good music when it hits you...or you just might not be into a band that combines the riffs of Sabbath, Beatles styled harmonies, and the soul of sly stone with the musicianship of rush...sounds like a winning combination to me...

Saw them open for Extreme and they stole the show!!!

Not too sure what makes them " the greatest band ever" or whatnot. They seem pretty basic. If anything, I'd take the first Jelly Jam disc over what I've heard. Maybe I need another listen.
