DOWN: Tokyo Show Filmed For Upcoming DVD - Nov. 14, 2008
DOWN/ex-PANTERA bassist Rex Brown has told TheTelegraph.com that DOWN shot a recent show live in Tokyo for release on DVD in 2009. "No overdubs. It's straight and raw as you can get it," Brown said.

In an interview with Billboard.com conducted this past week, Brown said that DOWN plans to release a documentary of its 2006 reunion after a nearly four-year hiatus, including both live and behind-the-scenes footage. "It's kind of about us learning how to walk together again," Brown said of the film, which is not yet finished and is so far untitled. "It just chronicles the life on the road of us starting to play again. We're right in the middle of it now."

Brown, who joined DOWN in 1999, also promised that a new version of DOWN's 1995 debut, "NOLA", with him playing bass, "will definitely happen" but hasn't been planned yet.

Pantera is dead. Dimebag is gone. It's sad, we wish it didn't end up that way, but nothing can be done to change the past. Down is an awesome band, can't wait for the DVD to come out

Did anyone get bored with Pantera? The drum sound got very bland. Dimebag was very predictiable. I think if Pantera got a new drummer they would have kicked some major ass. I like Down. Get Phil around good people he makes good music.

Yea I hear ya. I guess i just hate Vinnies drum sound. Good drummer but his sound just doesnt work for me. But thats just my opinion. I have all the CD's Minus the ones from pre-cemetary.

So yea when i really think about it maybe i was burnt out on them. But I just dont listen to them anymore while i still listen to cd's i overplayed more than Pantera.

"all because of this shit band a legend since i was a kid is dead and basically music industry is dead because of him."

Do you think Down is responsible for Dimebag's death? Dimebag wouldn't be considered half as great nowadays if he was actually alive. In fact, if he would've continued with Damageplan, my guess is that most in the metal community would be calling him a 'sell-out'.
What do you mean the music industry died with him? What the fuck are you talking about? Do you mean the metal scene? If so, you must not listen to many other bands except Pantera.

It's hard to find a guitar duo who can play together as well as Pepper and Kirk. Awesome riffs; awesome music. Down are great music.

Good to know they're working on it. Or, I guess it's primarily Rex's job. He's the managing-the-backstage guy of the band for sure.

Haha, to spite fucking music industry, I think down should include everything that was on the OtU Deluxe edition DVD on this new DVD.

Oh and one more thing... I feel sorry for Dimebag that he has some really immature "fan" like hahawtf.

I saw Down for the 1st time in Milwaukee and I really wasn't into them before seeing them. I really was impressed by there live show. Phil didn't ramble, just a lil towards the end of the show to talk to the crowd. didn't speak much at all between songs either. well compared to when I saw him with Super Joint at Ozzfest. he really cleaned up is act. I am happy for him he is making heavy music and not doing shit like Hell Yeah. though Hell Yeah would probably be 10x better if Phil was in it. hell throw rex in there. thats basicly a reunion. hell they should just do that, though it will never happen cuz Vinnie will never get off his high horse and realize Phil never pulled the trigger.

There is NO REASON at all to re-record Nola. That album was perfect. Why not concentrate on writing a new album instead?

Why are we comparing Kirk and Pep to Dime? They are in different bands. And if Dimebag was sooooo awesome, then why did DAMAGEPLAN SUCK FUCKING BALLS!!!!!

An extremely overrated band. I don´t see he hype for it.

ReverendDubs: Pantera was an ENSEMBLE and the 4 of them made that music possible. That´s why outside the band they all sucked and still suck.
