EUROPE: Working Title Of New Album Revealed - Dec. 10, 2008
Swedish hard rockers EUROPE have set "More Is More" as the working title of their eighth studio album, tentatively due in early 2009. The CD, which was described by the band as a "a modern retro rock album," is being helmed by the Swedish Grammis award-winning producer Tobias Lindell (MUSTASCH, HEED, PETTER, BRITNEY SPEARS).

Video footage from the studio can be viewed below.

EUROPE released a new live album, "Almost Unplugged", in Sweden on September 17. The CD features a recording of the band's January 26, 2008 concert at Nalen in Stockholm. The band performed songs from its latest CD, "Secret Society", along with some of its classic hits. The show was broadcast live over the Internet on the official EUROPE web site.

"Secret Society" was released in the U.S. on November 7, 2006 via Sanctuary Records.

was weak & over produced & the stuff with Kee Marcello just never had the feel of the bands debut & sophomore release.
But since the release of "Start From The Dark" in 2004 they are on the right track, & from the clips above they still have more to offer.

All the uninformed Europe bashers should check out their early material before the hairspray days, songs like Seven Doors Hotel, Aphasia, Wings Of Tomorrow, Wasted Time. Great heavy rock in the tradition of Thin Lizzy, with smoking guitar solos performed by one of the best rock guitarists out there - John Norum.

I like the last two Europe albums, but I must say that I enjoy Norums current downtuned guitar tone not half as much as his classic 80ies sound - I think it had more bite back than, lead as well as rhythm. Modern is not always better.

Some people should shut up just for not leting us see how ignorant they are. If you judge this band for the overplayed Final Countdown, you are missing a lot. This band's records with Norum where brilliant Power/Heavy Metal records with a lot of melody, great songs and outstanding guitar work with THIN LIZZY style, as all the band are huge fans. (They even have a video where they show themselves as kids going to a THIN LIZZY concert in the 70's). Joey Tempest has also one of the greatest voices of the style, if you have some AOR and Hard/Heavy music taste.

Wow, judging a band by one song/album... how sophisticated!

Can't wait to hear their new album! Looking forward to see them again!
