JANE'S ADDICTION Tour In The Works? - Jan. 7, 2009
The Pulse of Radio reports that a full-blown JANE'S ADDICTION reunion tour — the third in just over a decade — is in the works for later this year, according to HardDrive Radio. There's no word yet on who will be in the band lineup or when exactly the trek will start, but the news follows on the heels of two low-key club gigs the group did in Los Angeles this past October and November. Those were the original band's first full concerts together in well over 15 years. The group, including founding bassist Eric Avery, first reunited for a four-song set at the NME Awards USA last April.

The band has reunited twice before, in 1997 and 2001, but without Avery. RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS bassist Flea, Chris Chaney and Martyn LeNoble all took turns in the lineup.

Singer Perry Farrell has dismissed the possibility of another comeback over the last couple of years, saying in a recent interview that there was as much likelihood of a full-blown reunion "as there being commercial space flights."

Fan-filmed video footage of JANE'S ADDICTION's November 20, 2008 concert at El Cid in Silverlake, California can be viewed below (courtesy of "LAwomanPhotography").

The group's setlist was as follows:

01. Whores
02. Trip Away
03. Standing In The Shower… Thinking
04. Mountain Song
05. Ain't No Right
06. No One's Leaving
07. Then She Did
08. 1%
09. Stop
10. Had A Dad
11. Ocean Size
12. Chip Away

One of the best rock bands ever. Saw 'em in '87 and 97 and 2001. 97 was pretty good. 2001 was a strange kinda letdown. Felt like I was watching animatronic robots or something. It was so disappointing that I swore to stay away from the forever so they couldn't sully the memories. And I'm never going to listen to the Strays album. Avery was right: Once the bubble pops, it stays popped.

The only thing I don't like about this is that they won't play any of the material of of Strays (2004). Thats what got me INTO Jane's, then the rest of their back cateloge grew on me.

I would still definitly go se them. Jane Says and Mountain Song are worth it alone

Jane's are and was a great band and great musicians. and why the fuck does someone have to mention the word relevant???? they were relevent but not anymore? so just mention a few bands that are relevant? Nickelback and linkin Park? are they relevant??? Jane's inspired many bands so of course they will always be relevant.
so 95% of metal bands arent relevant because they dont sell 500-million albums?
Jane's are a better bands then most popular bands of the last 10 years or so, and Strays is a better album then most of the album that have sold much the last few years!

and Perrys voice is like rock and metal voices should be, very special and you either hate him or love him!!! think god he dont have just a normal voice with no range or nothing, or some backstreet boys voice like some would say.

I wish they would do a full on reunion tour. They are by far my favorite non-Metal band of the 80's. Just great head music. They are like a Heavy Metal Pink Floyd.

Strays was a great album! And this reunion would be great cuz they still have the young energy & can bring it.
