KREATOR's 'Hordes Of Chaos' Lands On BILLBOARD Chart - Jan. 21, 2009
"Hordes Of Chaos", the latest album from German thrashers KREATOR, sold around 2,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 165 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 7 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Hordes Of Chaos" had a commanding first week at radio, roaring out of the box to grab the #1 "Most Added" slot on both the CMJ Loud Rock chart and FMQB's Metal Detector chart. The album made a rare first-week jump into CMJ Loud Rock's Top 10 with a #10 debut along with an impressive #16 debut on FMQB.

The CD was released in three different versions. The jewel case edition includes the ten regular album songs, and the deluxe version features an additional bonus DVD with an atmospheric making-of in super-8 quality courtesy of a Berlin filmmaker. As a third option, the ultra-deluxe version comes with a t-shirt, a worthwhile photo book and an extended version of the bonus DVD, as well as the CD.

The "Hordes Of Chaos" artwork was created once again by Joachim Luetke. Luetke designed the artwork for KREATOR's last album, "Enemy Of God", as well as past releases from bands like DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY and RAGE.

KREATOR is putting the finishing touches on its new video for the title track of "Hordes Of Chaos". The clip was shot on November 2 in Berlin, Germany with director Jörn Heitmann (RAMMSTEIN), who has also worked on the band's video for the song "Enemy Of God".

This band lost all credit when they bitched and censored Taake and had them thrown off of the Karmoygeddon show in Norway. Kreator can blaspheme christianity all they want (of course I support that), but the moment someone comes along to remind them of the evil, horrid shit Germans were responsible for under nazism, they throw a childish hissy fit like dave mustaine and refuse to play with a band, that doesnt even espouse nazism. Fuck kreator, hypocrite weak sheep assholes.

Perhaps already the best album of 2009. Kreator has set the bar high fellas so these other bands better bring their A-game. Its going to be a Thrash-off!

Go buy it if you already haven't - especially if you live in the US. Show them that if they tour they are going to get a shit ton of live shows out of the deal.

A very damn dynamic and varied album, you don´t even notice it when it´s over, that´s a very good sign. I prefer a short album with few songs than a long one with 12-13 songs that drags in the end and gets boring, and this is a clear example. You´ve hit in the nail, Kreator dammit, I´m so damn happy with this album, just wow!!!!!!!! One of the best releases of this year for sure, very hard to top. See you in concert next week, can´t fucking wait!!!!! EVERYONE AGAINST EVERYONE CHAOOOOOS!!!!

...and damn glad I did. It's awesome.
I also love the "new" old way of recording as a band... love the rough-sounding of the CD, perfect for thrash metal legends like Kreator!

Can't wait to see the tour in 3 months!

put out sick ass albums in this millinium; Violent Revolution, Enemy Of God, and now Hordes Of Chaos! Keep up the great work guys and this does seem like a hard one to top this year. Looks like Megadeth and Slayer has a lot to do to reach the pinnacle of this one.
