KORN Frontman On LIMP BIZKIT Reunion: I Hope FRED DURST Isn't An Ass Like He Usually Is

The Pulse of Radio reports: KORN and LIMP BIZKIT toured together several times during the late '90s, most notably on the first edition of KORN's Family Values tour, and the two bands were right at the forefront of the "nu-metal" movement at the time. But now that LIMP BIZKIT is reuniting after being on hiatus for several years, KORN frontman Jonathan Davis told The Pulse of Radio that his relationship with singer Fred Durst has been strained for a while. "I'm happy that they're gonna play, but I just hope Fred just isn't an ass like he usually is," he said. "We'll see what happens. Hopefully Fred's got it together, 'cause there was one time when Fred was a really cool guy. The fame hit and went to his head. So I miss the old Fred. He was my buddy. So maybe he's humbled now and if he's like that then I'd definitely hang with him and be friends with him again."
LIMP BIZKIT announced last month that its original lineup was getting back together for a summer tour and new album, its first since 2003.
KORN and LIMP BIZKIT will play on several European festivals together this summer, which will give Fred and Jonathan a chance to renew their friendship.
LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland has played guitar on some tracks for Davis' upcoming solo album, which he hopes to finish recording later this year.

Cool, can't for LB and Korn to tour again like old times. Of course all the people on here who hate both bands are former Bizkit/Korn who jumped on the Metalcore bandwagon because of peer pressure.
If Fred can conrtol his ego then the second wave of Hard Alternative will hopefully rise again and deplete this Metalcore/NWOAHM garbage.

Korn's first cd was good at the time it was out but after that they just released the same shit over and over again...as for LB there was never hope for them to begin with although Wes Borland's other band black light burns is the shit!

After listening to Opeth I can definately see theyve ripped off a few Limp Bizkit riffs. Limp Bizkit were pioneers of metal in the early nineties so its no suprise really.

I've met Fred Durst a few times.. and he is one of the biggest assholes I've ever met, I don't think he ever has been cool. But then again he could have been the coolest dude on the planet while all those guys were doing speed... just a thought!

I am not a fan in the least...
There was a limp bizkit article on here some years back.
To the end of their mainstream relevance, they appeared on a Pepsi sponsored summer concert show on the WB and the report was about Fred biting one of the few remaining hands that bothered throwing the band a bone. Then Fred started talking about heading into the wilderness, growing beards and producing [his words] "Molten metal". Then Unquestionable Truth came out, nobody gave a shit, the Bmouth lulz factor vanished and that was that.
My point is (and you can time warp yourself through the bmouth archives for some epic hate responses to see) that by the time the second album success sank into Durst's head, a pretty decent mainstream band deteriorated into a solo project for a fucking douchebag.
I occasionally listen to Significant Other and more or less enjoy it for what it is, and the "begging for relevance" Unquestionable Truth was very interesting only because it fucking radiated the realization that no matter what they tried, the band was irreversibly fucked.
The only reason why I am interested in this interview is to see if Fred Durst learnt anything from his long list of fuckups during his 15 minutes of fame.
GodDAMN, music history is fascinating.

After Unquestionable Truth, that turd of a movie he directed with Ice Cube(the one where he teaches his niece how to play football) and the treatment he received on Metallica's Summer Sanitation tour.....he is humbled.
Maybe not as humbled as B. Brian Blair would be if the Iron Sheik got a hold of him, but humbled nonetheless!!!!!!
