DOWN Bassist To Guest On 'The Jim Rome Show' - Mar. 5, 2009
DOWN/ex-PANTERA bassist Rex Brown will be the featured guest on "The Jim Rome Show", one of the nation's premiere sports radio talk shows, on Friday, March 6.

Jim Rome's nationally syndicated radio program "The Jim Rome Show" airs on more than 200 radio stations each weekday and boasts more than two million listeners.

For more information, visit www.jimrome.com.

DOWN is the acclaimed New Orleans band featuring CORROSION OF CONFORMITY guitarist/vocalist Pepper Keenan, drummer Jimmy Bower (EYEHATEGOD, SUPERJOINT RITUAL guitarist), Rex Brown, guitarist Kirk Windstein (CROWBAR), and vocalist Philip Anselmo (SUPERJOINT RITUAL, ex-PANTERA). In October 2008, the group released a "deluxe edition" of its critically acclaimed third album, "Over the Under". The deluxe package, which was made available as a Best Buy exclusive, includes a DVD with over 30 minutes of previously unreleased live performances and behind-the-scenes footage. The album was released on Down Records in conjunction with Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group (ILG).

Philip Anselmo revealed in an online post that DOWN has recorded at least six new songs for a possible new CD which may also include previously unreleased material from the "Over the Under" sessions.

Rome has been doing interviews with guys named Rex for the last 16 shows straight. Rome is actually a fan of rock music in general. He has various musicians on a few times a year.

Rex has been in Down for 10 years now, dude. Though fair enough.. he didn't record with them until 2001/2002.

Rex was solid on the Rome show. Gotta give Rome props that he at least does his homework on the people he is interviewing. So many people just walk and wing it and come off asking stupid fucking questions.
