FAITH NO MORE Confirmed For Sweden's PEACE & LOVE Festival - Apr. 9, 2009
Reunited influential '90s alt-metal band FAITH NO MORE has been confirmed for the Peace & Love festival, set to take place June 22-27, 2009 in Borlänge.

Over the course of the last couple of years, Peace & Love has grown into one of the biggest festivals in Sweden. Known for its diverse program which mixes music with debates and workshops, Peace & Love is continuing its tradition of booking beloved and classic rock acts to headline the event, with past headliners including ALICE COOPER, SEX PISTOLS, IGGY & THE STOOGES, PATTI SMITH, MOTÖRHEAD and NEW YORK DOLLS.

Upcoming FAITH NO MORE shows:

Jun. 12 - Download - Donington Park UK
Jun. 13 - Greenfield - Interlaken, Switzerland
Jun. 14 - Rock in Idro - Milan, Italy
Jun. 19 - Nova Rock - Nickelsdorf, Austria
Jun. 20 - Southside - Tuttlingen, Germany
Jun. 21 - Hurricane - Scheebel, Germany
Jun. 24 - Kaisaniemi Park - Helsinki, Finland
Jun. 25 - Hovefestivalen - Arendal, Norway
Jun. 27 - Peace & Love - Borlänge, Sweden

FAITH NO MORE rehearsed on March 4, 2009 for the first time in over 10 years, according to a Twitter update by the group's bassist, Billy Gould.

So far, no North American appearances are on the radar, but according to Gould, "U.S. shows are not out of the question."

As speculated, original guitarist Jim Martin will not be part of the reunion. Performing in his place will be Jon Hudson, who played with FAITH NO MORE during the latter stages of its initial run after Martin departed.

The rest of the band's best-known lineup — singer Mike Patton, Gould, drummer Mike "Puffy" Bordin and keyboardist Roddy Bottum — will be intact.

Who the fuck is organizing the Helsinki show ? I can't find out if the tickets are on sale.

God damn it, so close, but I think I won't be able to go. I'm in desperate need of cash.

they weren't plain enough to be labeled just rock. they weren't lame enough to be called just alternative. some of their material have heavy low tuned riffs, growl/screams (patton being patton)...they were pretty much an alternative form music that us metal people would turn to for inspiration while praising their ingenuity. they were way ahead of their time and have influenced anyone from dillinger to brujeria to your momma! you kids that just got into metal can learn a lot from these guys...both a from a listener's and musician's standpoint.

Not even ahead of their time. Everyone's STILL playing catchup. Only band that could touch 'The Real Thing' was Mordred.
