PAUL STANLEY Says New KISS Album Is 'About Two Weeks' From Being Completed - May 15, 2009
KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley was a guest this morning (Friday, May 15) on NBC Philadelphia to promote his art exhibitions this weekend at Wentworth Gallery in King of Prussia.

When asked about a possible KISS tour of the U.S., Stanley replied, "We're about two weeks from the album being completed — the first album in ten years. [It's] very much a vintage, classic-sounding album, right back to our roots. We are really thrilled with it, and you will be, too. And that will be followed by a classic KISS tour — flying around the stage, blowing stuff up; all the stuff you want to see. When you are paying hard-earned money for a ticket, you should know where that money is going. And when you come to see us, it's like seeing Superman at the circus."

Watch Stanley's appearance on NBC Philadelphia below.

The California Mid-State Fair has announced that KISS has been signed to perform at the 2009 Fair on Tuesday, July 28. KISS will be part of the California Mid-State Fair's 2009 Budweiser Concert Series and be performing in the Main Grandstand Arena at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the show will be $67, $52 and $42, and go on sale Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be available at the California Mid-State Fair box office, online at www.midstatefair.com, any Vallitix outlet, or charge by phone at 1-800-909-FAIR. In addition, a special phone number has been added to better serve ticket buyers: 866-872-2007.

KISS' upcoming U.S. and Canadian tour will be the world's first to put fans in charge of where their favorite artist plays. By partnering with Eventful, the leading social media company for events, fans will "Demand" where KISS will perform on their latest trek across the top-voted North American markets beginning this September. No matter where the fans say — from stadiums to cornfields — if there are enough votes, KISS will be there! And in order to keep the competition fair for smaller cities, final site selection will weigh population size versus total votes. Fans across the U.S. and Canada can cast their votes at www.eventful.com/KISS to have their town included on the KISS 2009 North American tour. Fans are able to vote, and check the tally of what cities are in the lead, 24/7 across the web at the previous sites; as well as on KISS' MySpace and Facebook, Ticketmaster's KISS page, VH1Classic.com, and many more.

How is KISS screwing their fans? No one has a gun to their head to buy all the merch that they put out. It's called supply and demand.....and they always pull out all the stops to make their shows worth the bucks. You may want them to shut up, retire and go away, but guess what....they're baaaaaack!!!

Paul is the lubricated ass of Kiss and Thayer is the cock penetrating it. Thanks for the update on the 70's transvestite rock scene. If there's a few people left who care, then maybe you can tour with Poison and Great White this summer.

Yeah but now with Tommy and Eric in makeup, it's like seeing Gilbert Gottfried dressed as Superman at the Circus.

How did we know that the Kiss CD would be released before Ace's? Fear not Ace fans, Ace's cd will be out in the spring!

I wonder who are the ghost writers they got to write the songs for them and which session musicians they hired to play for them on the album.

It's becoming increasingly difficult for $tanley and $immon$ to back up their grandiose claims about KI$$ for one major reason: they have alienated themselves from a good chuck of their previously faithful following, myself included!

The upcoming Canadian tour is a sham. KI$$ has carefully selected a number of smaller towns, casinos and fairs to play through the summer. The last major tour, the Farewell tour in 2000, saw shows only in a few major centers such as Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton. I think there may have been six Canadian dates total on that tour. Now, keep in mind, Canada is geographically larger that the USA and their major centers could easily support a 20-30,000 seat venue for KISS if the fan support was there.

But that's the very point. KI$$ has lost so much fan support that they can't play Toronto or Edmonton or Calgary because the venues they used to sell out would be half-empty. So what do they do - take it to some smaller, remote Canadian cities who never see rock and roll tours where they are assured to sell-out even a medium-sized venue. Then they do their press magic and proclaim they had a "sell-out Canadian tour".

They should do a death metal album, or maybe remake dynasty as a polka album with black metal. Since that was their best work to date.
just kidding.
