ALICE COOPER: 'School's Out' Album To Be Reissued On 180-Gram Vinyl - May 21, 2009
ALICE COOPER's classic 1972 album, "School's Out", will be reissued on 180-gram audiophile vinyl with a fold-out sleeve on June 2 via Friday Music. Originally produced by Bob Ezrin, this multi-platinum effort forever etched the word superstar to Alice Cooper, as this legacy recording has truly stood the test of time. Aside from the smash title track, the album contained equally strong album tracks like "Public Animal #9", "My Stars" and "Alma Mater". This major release has also been one of the most influential hard rock recordings of its time, as well as being one of the biggest albums of Cooper's amazing career. Remastered impeccably from the original Warner Bros. vault tapes by Joe Reagoso (DAVID LEE ROTH, DEEP PURPLE, THIN LIZZY), this stunning album now has the most thrilling sound ever, complete with a very sharp gatefold cover with the original art elements, and poly sleeve to protect your investment.

Alice Cooper appeared on May 13 before a crowd of 70,000, including 9,000 Arizona State University graduates, at ASU commencement ceremonies at Sun Devil Stadium in Phoenix. Alice performed the perennial start-of-summer anthem "School's Out", backed by RUNAWAY PHOENIX, the band of which his son Dash Cooper (ASU Class of '10) is part. Also appearing on the program was "top-billed" President Barack Obama who delivered ASU's 2009 commencement address.

Aside from his ongoing role as the de facto harbinger of summer, Alice Cooper hosts, "Nights with Alice Cooper", heard over a network of more than one hundred affiliated stations for which Alice anchors 30 hours per week of original classic rock programming. Produced and distributed by the United Stations Radio Networks, "Nights with Alice Cooper" has 110 affiliates broadcasting a combination of weeknight and weekend programming. Alice's time slot reaches 1.1 million listeners (12+) each week, and his affiliates have a weekly reach of over 6 millions listeners.

Great album, but would be all over Billion Dollar Babies when it comes out on 180 gram!

is just an excuse to charge ten more bucks per record. If the reissue labels just pressed em up on vinyl that was as thick as they were in the 60,70s,80s, I would be much happier. Fuck I just spent over 20 buck for a reissue of the Remains record. Honestly, i just play a record loud as hell, and I don't give a shit about audiophile special 180 gram vinyl editions. Im a rock roll fan, not a record collector! It's not because I'm broke or cheap, if reissue LPs were cheaper, id buy twice as much! Great Coops LP by the way, already have it. shit goddam!

One of the Coop's best tunes.

Call me crazy but I'd like to see Flush, Special Forces, Zipper, and DaDa all remastered!
