MÖTLEY CRÜE's 'Crüe Fest 2' Adds Second Stage - June 1, 2009
MÖTLEY CRÜE's summer festival tour, Crüe Fest 2, has announced a partnership with Monster Energy to add an additional stage at this year's festival.

The new Monster Energy Stage doubles the entertainment value at Crüe Fest 2 with five extra bands showcasing the next generation of rock, including one local band in each tour market. The performances on the Monster Energy Stage will be staggered between main stage acts creating a non-stop music event and adding to the overall festival atmosphere. With no change in ticket prices, rock fans will be given the opportunity to see ten great rock bands for the price of one.

A local band will be chosen by the presenting radio station in each market contributing to the legacy of rock bands on the tour. The chosen band will open the Monster Energy Stage for a dedicated and Crüe Fest 2-sized crowd.

"It's always been in our hearts to turn our fans onto new rock music. A second stage seems to be just what the doctor ordered for Crüe Fest 2 and gives loyal CRÜE and rock fans more for their hard earned money. See ya there," said MÖTLEY CRÜE's Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Vince Neil and Tommy Lee.

Monster Energy has dedicated its brand to live music over the years as part of major national and international festivals, specialty concert tours and substantial one-offs, in both core sponsor and associate sponsor categories utilizing on-site activation through multiple avenues. The partnership with Crüe Fest 2 marks the first time Monster Energy will have a mobile stage dedicated entirely to their brand.

In a time where it seems everything is being cut back, MÖTLEY CRÜE is giving more to its fans and at the same time giving up and coming bands exposure. The main stage at the Live Nation produced Crüe Fest 2 stars MÖTLEY CRÜE and features GODSMACK, THEORY OF A DEADMAN, DROWING POOL, and introduces CHARM CITY DEVILS. The sequel to last summer's most successful touring festival begins its North American trek in Camden, New Jersey on July 19 and comes to an end on September 5 in Darien Lake, NY.

Um, so double the entertainment value of this crap still equals crap.

Horrible bands all around.

And NO, I am not some young troller kid. I have been around the metal thing longer than most of these kids have been alive. I just appreciate good bands and good metal music.

The bands on this bill SUCK! Having not heard from Godsmack in some time, I had honestly hoped they went away for good.

Oh and to sqaush those questions - I clicked on this link and read this story because I was hoping a band or 2 was added to this bill that might have redeemed it. Guess not!

Crüe Fest ...Ozzfest..I forgot what an "orginal" band Crüe are!
At least Judas Priest had " Priest-feast" and Megadeth "Gigantour"... Metallica "summer Sanatarium...

Next thing you know they're making a movie with a therapist.."Some kind of Crüe" or "Flight Crüe".

But orginality was never Crüe's strongest point.

Not sure can handle all these bands just to see Crue. Fan since '83, but just saw them like 3 times in last 2 yrs & some of us are for once tired of their non-stop touring...when it should be them. Thet need to take couple yrs off & comeback with something real hughe...something unexpected, like their original raw sound, which slowly got diluted by technology & over-producing.

I've been a fan of the Crue since '83 as well...Have seen them live five times. Would be better to see them play as the only band for a three hour show like the Carnival of Sins tour. Had to sit through the God-awful Papa Roach and Buckcherry sets last year to see them at Crue Fest 1. I, too, read this post hoping maybe they added some other talented bands to liven up the show, but NO...I will save my money.

My husband and I are old school head banggers and i really get tired of people posting negitive comments about a band if your not a fan why do you have to go one about how bad YOU think the band sucks what about the true fans iam not all that crazy about the bands on this ticket but we are willing to be open minded and give the bands a chane. We saw crue back in feb had a great time so why rain on other peoples parade are you that unhappy with your on life ? Crue has had ups and downs but iam a true crue fan and proud of it

Magson13 are you so perfect that you never have any grammatical errors in your post. What I think is you’re so miserable with your life that you have to go around picking on others. You like to “rant” about all the stuff you don’t like with the lineup, all the grammatical errors in peoples post, and you probably kick your dog (and spank it too). All you can post about is what you don’t like. Well frankly, no one cares what you don’t like. People like Missic and myself are tired of the dislikes of you. You are so self consumed that you think you are perfect and EVERYONE else is wrong or fails.
