GUNS N' ROSES: 'Chinese Democracy' Guitar Book Due This Month

A book of GUNS N' ROSES "Chinese Democracy" guitar transcriptions is scheduled for release on June 30 through Hal Leonard Corporation. A description of this book reads as follows: "Our matching folio to Axl Rose's 17-year project features note-for-note guitar transcriptions of tracks including 'Better', 'Catcher In The Rye', 'I.R.S.', 'Madagascar', 'Street Of Dreams' and more." "Chinese Democracy", the sixth and most recent album from GUNS N' ROSES, was released in its entirety to the Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content on April 14. The tracks are available for purchase as an album or individual tracks for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system. The tracks are available for purchase as individual tracks only for Wii. Aside from Billboard and Spinner interviews and answering a number of fan questions at a GUNS N' ROSES message board, singer Axl Rose has done no promotion of any kind for "Chinese Democracy". "Chinese Democracy" was officially certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA) on February 3, 2009 for shipments in the United States in excess of one million copies.

I'd certainly take a look at some note by note transcritpion of some Buckethead or Bubmlefoot solo work. Though, dissapointingly, I've seen some "official" or "made by proffesional musicians" tab books containing more obvious errors than stuff made by people on the internet.

I saw an AC/DC tab book one time showing how to play Hells Bells. I almost dislocated my fingers trying to play it, but then Angus gave a lesson in Guitar World and showed how to play HB. Easy as pie! So yeah piss on those tab books!

I have to disagree with you. "Some?" you say, not when every song has 25 guitar tracks. This will be a non-official totally wrong unscripted books done by someone who has no affiliation with GnR. This album is the most overproduced piece of crap rock music has ever seen, so I ask you, Who's gonna bother buying this?

pick up a guitar work the chords and bob is your fkng unlcle!! It's not rocket science people.

heres the main basic chords you can use for any song in the whole wide world!
Make a bar chord and don't play the 3rd, 2nd and 1st string and there you go, you got a power chord.
Now you the answer, do yourself a favor and buy a guitar already!

It's better to learn intervals and how you build chords using them, so you don't have to memorize a book of chord patterns and you don't have to scan through some chord book when you see something like C#maj6. This, too, ain't rocket science but it's better to understand than to memorize - it's less limiting to your playing. :)

a guitar tab for a shitty album - what a concept! axl's obviously trying to infer that his record had some significance in the world of music, which of course it didn't. the only lost souls who will buy this are the retards that think every nugget out of Axl's piehole is gold. pathetic!

maybe Best Buy will purchase 1000 copies of this tab book, & it will sell 500. People are dying to figure out Bucketfoots & Bumbleheads riffs, or was it BJ Ashba, or John 5, Dave Navarro, BRian May? May isn't even sure if they pulled his work...after seeing the video, hearing the songs all over radio & songs done live, everyone's dying to figure these instant classics out....lots of cover bands doing "better" these days, just not getting it right.
