WARBRINGER recently parted ways with bassist
Ben Bennett and was rejoined by
Andy Laux.
Andy played on the group's debut,
"War Without End", but was unable to join his bandmates for any of the touring due to him still being in high school. Now with his studies complete,
Andy has been focusing on sound engineering and even built his own home garage studio.
"Waking Into Nightmares", the sophomore album from
WARBRINGER, sold around 2,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to
Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 14 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Waking Into Nightmares" was released on May 19 via
Century Media Records. The CD was mixed by
Zack Ohren (
SUFFOCATION,
ALL SHALL PERISH) and the cover artwork was created by esteemed artist
Dan Seagrave (
MORBID ANGEL,
ENTOMBED).
WARBRINGER's new album was recorded at
Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California with axeman/producer
Gary Holt (
EXODUS).
