KITTIE's new album, "In The Black", sold around 3,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 132 on The Billboard 200 chart.

KITTIE's previous CD, "Funeral for Yesterday", opened with 9,000 units back in February 2007 to land at No. 101.

"In The Black" was made available in Europe on October 23 via Germany's Massacre Records.

"Cut Throat", the new video from KITTIE, was directed by David Brodsky (SUICIDE SILENCE, GWAR, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER) in an old, abandoned department store in Brooklyn, New York and it "perfectly captures what this band is all about," said guitarist/vocalist Morgan Lander. "The make-up artist didn't really appreciate the fact that our make-up was sliding down our faces from the first note, but this isn't pretty or nice or dainty. This is metal and the 'Cut Throat' video perfectly embodies that."

"Lividity", the new album from Buffalo, New York's IT DIES TODAY, sold around 1,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 10 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Lividity" was released on September 15 via Trustkill Records.

Kittie are actually pretty good live. I saw them live last year and they were tight and worked the crowd very well. Only played around an hour though, but for five quid I'm not complaining.

Mercedes is hot also.

can't believe they actually fly these four to europe to perform...and Pain of Salvation don't have close to enough support to tour the states.....anyone who's actually seen these four in person knows how dreadful they really are
