BUCKCHERRY Comments On New Song 'Leak' - July 3, 2008
California rockers BUCKCHERRY have issued the following update:

"We're out on the road again, and just played a killer first show on Crüe Fest 2008 in West Palm Beach, Florida!

"It's come to our attention that one of the tracks off our new album has leaked out on the net. Honestly, we hate it when this shit happens, because we want our FANS to have any new songs first.

"Here is the link to officially find the song 'Too Drunk...'. We're gonna go try and find time over the next few days to make a down and dirty video for it.

"Enjoy the new song and we're looking forward to putting out the new album in a couple of months!"

"Too Drunk..." is expected to appear on the group's forthcoming album, "Black Butterfly", which is tentatively due on September 23. The Japanese version of the CD — the artwork for which can be viewed below — will apparently arrive on August 27.

BUCKCHERRY released "15" just over two years ago, beginning a comeback that saw the band play 300 shows, sell over one million copies of the record, and earn five hit singles after being all but defunct five years ago.

Crüe Fest will hit over 40 cities, closing out on August 31 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In addition to the CRÜE and BUCKCHERRY, the lineup features PAPA ROACH, TRAPT and CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx's side project, SIXX: A.M.

I like these guys, but that riff has been done a million times. The first one that comes to mind is Ratt's "Way Cool Jr." I'm sure there are plenty others.

Waaaay cooooool juuuunior...

The Ratt tune was better than this one, but its still a good song and will keep the trailer park kids rockin out. Hope the cussy words dont keep it off radio...Id rather here this than Nickelsuck or Evanescence or 90% of the garbage out there.

Stealing a Dead Kennedys song name... sounding like Way Cool Junior... what a load of CRAP. Sorry haters, this song ROCKS And any of you people who are still stuck in the 90's thinking that this is '80's rock' need to wake up. REAL rock -no matter what you wanna call it -is back. If Buckcherry sucks so bad then why would they have sold over 1,000,000 copies of 15 in a day and age where CD sales are 40% of what they were 15 years ago. Its because they're pumping out music that obviously people want to listen to!! And this song is cut from the same cloth as their previous CDs.
Good job on Buckcherry.

but fuck this stupid group. Nothing but recycled 80s riffs and arrogant bullshit attitudes. No wonder why they broke up in the first place.

But since the original line-up changed, the shit has not been the same. These guys just seem to write lame songs that dumb kids would find cool, not timeless rock. I did hear, however, that some of the other original members just recently got together and recorded some stuff! If you go to www.buckcherry.net it will link you right to their Myspace sight! Its called Blck Robot, and word is that its amazing! From what I've heard, its the kind of stuff the new Buckcherry wishes they could write! So check it out.
