'Lost' JIMI HENDRIX Album Discovered - July 7, 2008
World Entertainment News Network report sthat a lost album Jimi Hendrix recorded with rocker Stephen Stills has been discovered more than 30 years after it was recorded.

Stills recently found the recording among a stack of material he taped during the 1970s, and his CROSBY, STILLS AND NASH bandmate Graham Nash is helping him prepare it for release.

Nash tells the Las Vegas Sun, "He has an enormous history of recording. In the '70s, he was a recording fool. He just found a bloody album he made with (Jimi) Hendrix.

"'Oh yeah, I forgot that.' We've got to listen to that... I want to listen to every track he ever recorded in case he recorded with Al Jolson."

is possible. I'll bet Neil young has some stuff on his shelf as well. They all did a huge ammount of work back in the 70's. Just finding one reel amongst 3000-4000 reels is a task in itself. Think about it.

they're using the word album loosely. he probably had a few studio sessions with Hendrix, kept the master tapes and got high and forgot about 'em with the other piles of studio takes he most likely had around. think of all the studio tape there has to be of Hendrix from throughout the years that was never released or anything. Hendrix was a studio nut who was always messing around with takes.

I suppose "album" is probably not the best description. They were prob just jamming and happened to roll tape.

This sort of thing is not rare. Bands record albums that never get released all the time. Musicians collaborate on albums that never get released as well. And plenty of times albums thought to have been long gone turn up in some box in an attic or garage, or something.

A few years back, Jon Oliva found a shoe box with tapes of Criss Oliva riffs and songs. Now many of those riffs have shown up on the last two Jon Oliva's Pain albums. When your one love is music, recording songs/riffs/whatever is second nature. Musicians amass tons of music.

Claiming this Hendrix thing is about money is a joke. I doubt anyone from Crosby, Stills and Nash is in dire need of money.

not trying to talk shit or start an argument.....but if you think its not about money....your high.

all ANYTHING is about these days is makin money.(sucks)but true.

reunions out the ass, reality tv shows...its all about money in 00.people want to get there's.and that is what is all about.

and to think that crosby stills and nash are just fine money wise...is not realistic.neither of them has probably made a record that sold anything since the woodstock days...and wasnt crosby on an episode of roseanne at some point??that's just another fact that leads me to believe that there not rollin in it by any means.

CNSY a couple years ago had a HUGELY successful tour in support of NY's newest album, Living With War. Sold out all over the place. And with a minimum ticket price of $130, multiply that by a 15,000 seat venue every few days, well, maybe you can't do that math, but I can. That's a boatload of money. And think about the back catalogue of stuff they all have from their various bands back in the 60's and 70's they no doubt still make tonnes of cash on by either radio, endorsements, and record sales. I'm guessing you don't know shyte about the music business. or any business, really.

And when you say you don't want to talk shit, but start off by f**king with the person's name, that don't make a lick of sense, does it?

You have a good point. The reason bands like Floyd and Zeppelin haven't had to do reunion tours is they don't need the money. They still make it by the boat loads. That speaks volumes about the quality of their work.

...Should be the name if they ever release it...has any one heard the tracks that of Jimmi Page, Chris Squire and Alan White worked on. The band was going to be called XYZ (X-Yes and Zep) circa 79'-80' but I think they were jammin simce about 77'...not to sure...They were going to get Plant or Paul Rodgers...I don't recall...John Bonham's death sadly interupted recording sessions, so I guess that's why Zep never got back together with another drummer because they were going to break up anyway's...I could be wrong though...Another Rock legend is that bsck in the 80's Neil Peart, Eddie Van Halen & Ozzy wanted to record with each other but it didn't work out...Has anyone ever heard of this silly rumor? Anyway's CROSBY STILLS AND HASH...

hendrix played on stills' first solo album. i believe he's there on love the one you're with. it's probably tapes from the same sessions that have been sitting around for years.

if it comes out it comes out. i don't expect anything earth shattering. if it was any good it would have been released 30+ years ago.

don't you think the other musicians who played on this would of said something by now?
"I was jamming with stills and hendrix...and I know he was recording it.." this is not the kinda thing someone would say..oh really..cool.. they would be like "S&*T MOTHER F*(*((R...FIND THAT THING, THERES MONEY TO BE MADE"
Its probably not a real Hendrix recording.
anyone interested in my jam with Randy rhodes and John Bonham?

Stephen Stills & Jimi
would pay to listen to that session, call it an album or a momentary cash grab... I think of it more worthy than a metallica album...
