OPETH was recently forced to cancel its appearances at the Peace & Love (Borlänge, Sweden on June 26), Hovefestivalen (Norway on June 27), Metaltown (Gothenborg, Sweden on June 28), and Graspop Metal Meeting (Dessel, Belgium on June 29) festivals after Mikael Åkerfeldt contracted varicella (chicken pox).

"Watershed", the new album from OPETH, sold more than 19,000 copies of in the United States in its first week of release.

"Watershed" is the follow-up to the band's acclaimed "Ghost Reveries" CD, which debuted at No. 64 on the Billboard chart back in September 2005 with first-week sales of just under 15,000. OPETH's 2003 album, "Damnation", opened with a little over 5,000 copies.

"Ghost Reveries" has sold more than 95,000 copes in the United States since its 2005 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

being the best metal band to come out of Chicago since probably Novembers Doom, and getting to tour with the likes of Opeth and High on Fire.

To Innersilence: Would you expect a site owned by Roadrunner to not want to promote their own bands?

Tell your tour management people that they're all fuckers! :P

Vancouver date is 19+.. Same thing when you guys were here with fireball ministry. It sucks, and I know it's not the bands fault so I won't say too much. I might just buy a fake moustache/beard and a fake ID for this. Too many great shows are playing at the commodore, and I'm missing out. Necrophagist, Dying Fetus, Into Eternity, AND NOW OPETH!
