SLIPKNOT's SID WILSON Wheelchair-Bound After Breaking Both Heels; Photos Available

DJ Sid Wilson (#0) of SLIPKNOT broke both of his heels at the first show of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival on July 9 in Auburn, Washington and has been forced to wear casts on both legs. He apparently jumped off one of the stages in the background of SLIPKNOT's stage set and landed incorrectly. Despite having casts on both legs, Sid has vowed to play all shows on the Rockstar Energy tour, even if it means getting around in a wheelchair, as was the case at last night's (Saturday, July 12) concert in Mountain View, California (pictures by Burningpoop). Fan-filmed video footage of SLIPKNOT performing its new single, "Psychosocial", live for the first time ever this past Wednesday night (July 9) at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington can be viewed below (clip uploaded by YouTube user "skudave"). The band's video for "Psychosocial" will premiere on MTV's "F'N MTV" program on Friday, July 18 at 8:00 p.m. EST. SLIPKNOT's new album, "All Hope Is Gone", will arrive on August 26 via Roadrunner Records. The title track was made available last month, while "Psychosocial" arrived at rock radio on June 30. to opex up there, they still wear masks, thats their thing, they always will. i don't mind slipknot but they're not one of my favorites, but i will say that they have gotten a lot more skilled in their songwriting since they first came out.

who have nothing better to do than to get on here and say how much this bands sucks and then bash its fans you are stupid... period. If anyone offered you millions of dollars to get on stage and play in front of 20,000 people or so a night you would no matter what. Shut the fuck up and get over it. If you people that bash this band knew what musicianship was you would know that Joey is a great technical drummer and both Jim and Mick are pretty good guitar players. They have some awesome solos here and there. If these same musicians took off their masks and jumpsuits, ditched the 800 drummers and djs, and came out with an album with a new band name without telling anyone I bet a lot of the bashers would actually enjoy it. I am not a big Slipknot fan but I dont hate them nor do I deny that they do not have some musical talent but comparing them to Britney Spears is stupid...

you people are among the lowest forms of life i can think of. can one of you tell my why you feel the need to bash a band on a website? i hope you know that you are what's wrong with metal. the diversity of the metal genre is one of the best things about it, and you retards belittle it. there is no one true form of metal. it comes in many varieties. you can love one and hate another, but they're both still metal. as much as i love metal, i refuse to call myself a metalhead because i don't want to be associated with you pathetic fucks.
as for sid, he's a goddamn idiot, but i give him respect for still playing the shows. looking forward to seeing the knot and mastodon in august.

THERE!!! Slipknot was awesome, Metal, and very entertaining. They played "Prosthetics" just for Sid. Crowd was going nuts for "Psychosocial" very well received. Slipknot was probably the 2nd best band that day :)

You have to be retarded to think I said he did when I said their drummer and guitarist had talent... I personally think the extra "percussionist" and "djs" are more of a waste of space and bus room than anything but who cares. Like the music you want to like. Oh and comparing Slipknot to Limp Bizkit or Korn is a little off dont you think? Maybe not seems people hate every band with super success or that sells a lot of albums. As I said before people just have to have their little underground bands that them and their "elite" circle of friends think they only know about. Once that band goes big then they are all sell outs and they hate them. Or better yet the "this band is not heavy enough" bull shit comment which is why a show like Metalocalypse is funny because those dudes are making fun of all the assholes out there.

Its nice to see that after all these years of success they still can't figure out how to not sound like shit live. I absolutely loved their first album and sadly they are one of two bands I have ever walked out on.
They took over an hour to sound test the Drums that Clown uses and at first I'm like "OK the are perfectionist. This should be great." Then in the first 15 seconds of the show the fat fuck picks up the drum kit and throws it across the stage. Now I'm like "WTF". They then played two songs that I had no real Idea what they where. Not that I was unfamiliar with their music but because none of them had their timing right. It was a jumbled mess of noise. To make matters worse it sounded as though Corey had decided to jam a luffa into his mouth and try to do the show that way. My friend and I where so disappointed that after a third song we look at each other and said "fuck it this sucks lets bail".The other band is System of a Down who also suck giant balls live.
Long live the studio band!!!!

They are up and down live.. like any band. Haters will always be there to point out the shitty performances.. of which their fav bands have plenty of but don't try and tell them that.
People seem to hate this band.. simply because plenty of people like them. Oh, well how fucking original you all are.. Let's hate popularity!
Meh.. They aren't an amazing band, but they've released some good shit. Taylors written some good songs.
Disasterpiece.. also an amazing live dvd.. so they can kill live, at times.
Don't be so fucking stupid to try and compare them to britney spears. Britney spears is a face.. that is all. She can't really sing, she can't really dance, she doesn't write songs, she doesn't compose or produce her music. She is a face.
Slipknot write and play their own shit.

What you fans fail to realize is that not all haters of Slipknot do so because they are popular - that always seems to be your excuse for why we don't like the band.
To the contrary, I could care less about their popularity. There's nothing wrong with it, it's what many bands strive to achieve.
So why do I dislike Slipknot? They are unoriginal, uninspired musicians - plain and simple. There are nine of them making the same sounds that four could do. It's always argued that the masks aren't a gimmick but, in reality, without the masks making them unique they'd drown in a sea of mediocrity. Finally, the band is a "gateway" band for fledgling metal fans. Granted, I'm not stereotyping all Slipheads, but the ones that I've known are usually just getting into metal and are anxious to hop on the bandwagon with all of their friends. Marilyn Manson was the same way and just look how that band has sunk.
Now it begs the argument of whether or not the band should be judged by the fans. I say yes. The fans are a reflection of who the band is and, for me at least, I see nothing but a bunch of whiny kids who wouldn't even care about Slipknot except for the fact that it's "cool" to like them within their circle of friends. They have no interest in the evolution of metal, no interest in other types of metal, and have to constantly compare every band to their beloved Slipknot.
Again, not a reflection of every fan, just the ones I've dealt with.
So, to all of the fans who want to put the haters down, try to understand that not every person has the same tastes as you. I'm not a hater who's coming on here and calling the band gay or pretentious; I simply don't think Slipknot are all that talented and that their fans are a little too narrow minded.
Pick up some old Slayer, Napalm Death, Carcass, Dead Kenndys, Blue Oyster Cult, Iron Butterfly, Mountain, etc. and listen to how the music has evolved over the years. Then, once you have the education, decide for yourself whether or not Slipknot is really a band you like.

i used 2 b a massive slipknot fan. slipknot and iowa. then they releaed that shit vol 3 . was hopin 4 some really fucked up slipknot stuff with new album . but look and sounds like they have went past their sell by date. dont like new stuff they look worn out and bored now . looks lik a new tired slipknot 2 me insted of the old slipknot.

His adrenaline must have been through the roof, i've seen him jump off of stuff a lot of times but he usually lands ok...sucks that he's in a wheelchair. They should do something cool to the wheelchair, put like some neon lights on it and shit lol
