SAMMY HAGAR: New Solo Album Title Revealed

Sammy Hagar revealed (see video below) during his July 22, 2008 concert at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey that his next solo album will be titled "Cosmic Universal Fashion". The CD, which has apparently been recorded, is tentatively due late summer/early fall. As previously reported, one of the tracks on the album will be entitled "Loud" and it will feature guest appearances by VELVET REVOLVER/ex- GUNS N' ROSES drummer Matt Sorum, original VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony and guitarist Billy Duffy of THE CULT.

anything he puts out is better than the garbage that is out there today. but I guess if you don't want to understand what you are listening to and have a good time you wouldn't like him.and Van Hagar rocked!whine all you want but you cannot deny the great music they made.well you can you just look like an idiot when you do but what else is new for you morons.now go back and listen to your no talent grunt and growl records while I listen to some real music.

Dude sounded pretty damned good on stage. Better than Vince, better than Dave, Ozzy ,Joe Elliot or most of those guys from that era who really do need to hang it up. I say, if you can still hit the notes, which he can, then fucking get out there and rock. One guy, however, that he can't outdo is Geddy Lee. man, I saw Rush Sunday night in Charlotte, and was fucking AMAZED. He hit every note, and the band was spot on. Rush is the best summer tour.

Haters should just not listen if you don't like. Give the guy a break. Isn't he like going to be 61 or some crazy shit like that? He still has the pipes, still puts out good music, and still knows how to rock. More power to him. "Livin' It Up" was a great record to chill on the beach to and just enjoy life without takin' yourself so damn seriously. I'm looking forward to the next one.

If you're a Sammy fan,you get your money's worth,no doubt.He at least cares about putting on a great show,which is more than can be said for a lot of bands these days.If you don't dig him,don't read these type of stories,its that simple.Go listen to Dimmu Borgir or Slipknot or whatever shit you like.I think they refered to it as a "solo" album so as not to confuse it with the other thing hes working on with Satriani,Smith and Anthony.Great version of "Finish What Ya Started",but nobody does those backing vocals like Mike.

You are too fucking funny.....if Montrose weren't that great, why did VAN HALEN(the original 4 that YOU hype) start out playing Montrose covers?????
Not to mention that Dave stole his schtick from Jim Dandy of Black Oak Arkansas fame.
Seems the original Van Halen are about as original as a P. Diddy song.

Duffy and Hagar...
I think it's going to sound like classic rock n' blues, with Sorum playing off beat and Anthony picking it up.
Duffy's gotta concentrate on the "CULT." Then again, they toured a lot and need a break.
It should be good for 45-55 year olds.

If you liked Sammy when he was with Montrose or solo, then you should of loved him with Van Halen, because that was the top of his career and the best work he did, but don't get me wrong, this new solo stuff and Chickenfoot will rock the house.
oh and the same goes with you "I loved Van Halen before Sammy and glad he is not with him" come on Van Halen was great with Dave but Better with Sammy, and if your a Van Halen fan it shouldn't matter who is singing.
