JON OLIVA'S PAIN, CIRCLE II CIRCLE, MANTICORA: More U.S. Tour Dates Announced
- July 26, 2008
JON OLIVA'S PAIN, CIRCLE II CIRCLE and MANTICORA are finalizing details for the first leg of their upcoming U.S. tour. Both JON OLIVA'S PAIN and CIRCLE II CIRCLE are out in support of their new CD releases, "Global Warning" and "Delusions of Grandeur", respectively. This will mark the first time that Oliva has toured with JON OLIVA'S PAIN in the U.S. in four years and nearly a decade since he has shared the stage with CIRCLE II CIRCLE/ex-SAVATAGE singer Zak Stevens.
Fans can expect a heavy assault of SAVATAGE classics, including a very special set with Zak Stevens. The tour kicks off at Bourbon Street Nightclub in New Port Richey, Florida on September 20 and then on to the prestigious ProgPower USA festival in Atlanta from September 25 to September 27.
Commented Oliva: "It has been far to long since I have had the chance to perform in the U.S. and were going to pull out all the stops. My voice is in the best shape of my career, the band is kicking ass and performing with Zak, CIRCLE II CIRCLE and MANTICORA makes it that much more exciting. I'm really looking forward to getting reacquainted with the 'Legion' once again... It's gonna be a blast!"

before he can tour, tour, tour, he needs to lose, lose, lose about 250 lbs.
COMMENT | He's got plenty of cash posted by : AtlRick 7/26/2008 8:02:38 AM
He's doing this for enjoyment, not for the money. He's got more money than God thanks to TSO. So you'll have to pardon him if he doesn't want to travel halfway across the country to play in some 250 seat shithole in the midwest.

I'm a Savatage fan (R.I.P 1993), and I do not care to see the TRANS SEXUAL ORCHESTRA or SCABATAGE.
The only thing Jon (and Caffery) has done good since Savatage is Dr. Butcher.

I understand your pain but Jon does not need any money I am quite sure he has made millions off Trans-Siberian Orchestra to basically do whatever the hell he wants.

I've heard that he isn't in that good of financial shape. He has a lot of leeches around him that he tries to take care of.
I've seen him a lot and it's always a pretty good show but I wouldn't have any problem with trading his tours for either Motorhead or Iron Maiden or Heaven and Hell since they NEVER come to the Atlanta (or the southeast) area.

...for the US brothers that finaly get to see Jon Oliva's Pain! the reason I LOVE this guy and JOP is because they bother touring and kept coming back to Yurp the last 4 years. for you that keep dreaming of a Tage reunion... no harm in dreaming... for those who want the next best thing that can happen for a JO fan...go support JOP! and of course...next US tour may be bigger ;-)
Belgian fan.

Oliva and company never disappoint and his latest podcast puts JOP on the west coast in early 2009. You gotta be able to pay the bills on the road in order to tour...obviously that's no problem in Europe for JOP and at least they are really trying to make something happen in the U.S for 2008-2009. Try giving it a chance and if the fans come out in October then he will have every reason to keep going.
The video's from JOP from their recent Euro-tour proves that Oliva has still got what it takes to keep up with the best of them. Unique and one of a kind he is and I for one cannot wait to see him and Zak on stage again as well! Nice touring package...
Dude.....Do you EVER post anything possitive? You're a loser fuck with nothing else better to do but talk shit about good bands. Funny thing is, you're probably in your 30's.....living with your parents.....And DREAMING of coming even close to what Jon has done! Fuck Yourself.
