LAMB OF GOD To Enter Studio In September

Metal Injection reports that Richmond, Virginia's LAMB OF GOD will enter the studio in September to begin recording the follow-up to 2006's "Sacrament", tentatively due in early 2009 via Epic. LAMB OF GOD's new double disc DVD, "Walk With Me In Hell", sold more than 13,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 2 on Billboard's Top Music Videos chart. "Walk With Me In Hell" (read Scott Alisoglu's review of the DVD at this location) features over five hours of incredible, all-access footage. Disc 1 contains the feature documentary "Walk With Me In Hell" and multiple live performance extras from across the globe on the "Sacrament" world tour. The documentary chronicles every detail in the lives of LAMB OF GOD as they completed recording and toured around the world nearly three times over in support of the highly praised 2006 album "Sacrament". Disc 2 includes an additional full-length "Making of Sacrament" feature plus LAMB OF GOD's entire, uncut, brutal performance at the Download festival 2007, where they performed in front of over 72,000 fans. Extras include deleted scenes, live performance videos for various tour stops, the official music video for "Redneck", and a "Making of Redneck" documentary. "Walk With Me In Hell" was directed by Doug Spangenberg, who has also directed the platinum-awarded "Killadelphia" DVD, plus LAMB OF GOD's first DVD, "Terror and Hubris".

and its awesome. tons of footage. tons of concerts and live shows. and basically if you like them, then you deifnitely need to get it. lamb of god is the greatest band outside of slayer and Max's Sepultura

LOG had said late last year that they really wanted to hit the studio as soon as possible.
who do they owe it more to? Metallica who may or may not be singing their swan song OOOORRRR to the millions of devoted fans who see, hear, and know true musical perfection.
the members of Lamb of God individually and as a whole are simply amazing.
on a side note Hungary's Casketgarden is almost on the same level
people need to hear their shit!!! shameful plug I know.

I used to be a huge LOG fan but I hated Sacrament. it all sounded they same to me after awhile and thats with all there music as well. New American Gospel was my favorite in my opinion. as for them live they fucking ruled but after see them so many times they seemed at times like LOG was just out of gas. Randy used to be really energenitic, but he mostly just stands or walks around on stage now. though I really hope this sounds different or something new and fresh. I am not a LOG hater at all, but they aren't the 2nd coming of pantera. not saying they are trying that but it feels like they are hyped like that.

I like both MetallicA and LOG alot, they turned down the tour, fair enough, im glad cuz i cant wait for a new LOG record BUT saying MetallicA take "hard rock and nu-metal acts with them (GODSMACK come to mind)" on tour, yeah they took Godsmack once apon a time but recently its been MACHINE FUCKIN' HEAD! nobody can say they aint metal enough lol

Didnt like the last release as much as the others,hope this one is back on track..
Glad they turned down Metallica...Definetely have more respect for them on that one. plus,when they come it wont be rediculously overpriced,and they can play a real set.

These guys are on there way to putting out their first rehash, same old shit, good riffs, wicked drumming, shit vocals, album. They are following the Slayer path & have peaked. They will continue to play the same crowds, sell the same number of albums to the same fanbase, say the right things, stay true & not "sell out", get you guys all amped up because they turned Metallica down, etc. At the end of the day, say what you will about a Metallica crowd, but they knew couldn't win 'em over & they know it. You respect them, but in reality they were scared.

I find it just absolutly histarical when kids get so excited over bands like Disturbed,Godsmack,Korn,Five finger death punch, fred durst and all that ridiculous garbage that aint worth 2 cents.
"Fred Durst says he like Lamb of God" jeez like we have to have the approval of some executive who got up from his desk and put on a red baseball hat and turned it backwards and started one of if not the worst bands to come out in the last 15 years telling us he likes Lamb of God. What the fuck does he know about METAL??? Now hes going to tell us he's in love with hanna montana.
Like any of us "real metal" fans give a fuck what this phoney or any nu-metal fans think. go listen to your new Disturbed cd.
And if it wasnt for Anthrax's "im the man" single in 1987 and "bring da noize" in 1991 with Public Enemy there would be no Limp Bizkit or any other lame band copying what they did YEARS before.

It's not about who you tour with that makes you metal, it's your music that makes you metal, and i hate to break it to you but metallica is not really metal anymore. St anger was utter shit, even compared to load & reload. which was a whole other level of shit.
Anyway what i mean to say is metallica sucks.

I don't mind them. I bought Sacrament, and tried over and over to listen to it all the way through, and every song sounded EXACTLY THE FUCKING SAME!!! And same as in every song being a watered down, slowed down, monotone Pantera clone.
