KITTIE's Manager Reportedly Dies Of Heart Attack

David Lander, the father of KITTIE's Morgan Lander (guitar, vocals) and Mercedes Lander (drums), reportedly died of a heart attack over the weekend. David Lander, who is said to have been in his early 50s, also managed KITTIE as part of X Of Infamy/ K.M.A. Entertainment. No further information is currently available. Fan-filmed video footage of KITTIE performing at the Altered Skin Revolution in Saginaw, Michigan on Saturday, July 26 can be viewed below. KITTIE recently parted ways with bassist Trish Doan and replaced her with Ivy Vujic of the Canadian band IN THE WAKE. According to a press release, Doan was diagnosed with the eating disorder anorexia-athletica-nervosa, which she developed during the recording of KITTIE's "Funeral for Yesterday", Doan's first release with the group. "Funeral for Yesterday" — which was released via the band's own record label, X of Infamy — was recorded at Retromedia Studio in Red Bank, New Jersey with producer Jack Ponti, who has previously worked with BON JOVI, SKID ROW, and ALICE COOPER. The band mixed the effort with producer Kevin Shirley ( IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER).

..David and the girls in an interview here in Mexico City in 2003, they were all amazing people, very nice to talk to and very down to earth, My sincere condolences to Morgan and Mercedes, be strong and don´t give up.

Respect? On Blabbermouth? Who the hell are you kidding, this is the last place where I'd think to find anybody even slightly respectful.
On a side note, I have never been a fan of this band, I just find her vox extremely annoying and cringe everytime I hear them.
RIP and I do feel for their loss.
And to mentalfuckage, what the hell does not playing an instrument have to do with liking a band? So, what you are saying is that people cannot have an opinion on wether or not something sucks unless they can do it themselves as well? That's pretty fucking retarded. Music is made for the people regardless and being able to play yourself should never have anything to do with it. That's like saying you can't say a movie sucks unless you can film a better one......

Is this really the time and place to be starting sh*t? I mean two members of a band just lost their dad. I know from personal experience the loss of a parent is one of the toughest things a person can go through. Is it so hard to just give your sympathies and leave? [/rant]

"Loser" Posts a lot, i mean a lot! when i read almost anything, he has a comment. "Loser " is truly a loser because He must not have anything better to do with his life if all he does is get on here and bash people trying to live their dream. I Bet "Loser" is either a 13 year old kid or an angry 30 year old male virgin living in his parents basement. If "loser" knew anything about half of the bands he bashes he would know that most of his statements are just wrong because how uneducated he is. Ignorance is a killer and so is karma and "loser" will get his, he already is.
Morgan, Mercedes, I am so sorry girls. Morgan I can only imagine what songs are going to come out of this pain that you are feeling.
