TOOL Frontman Laying Down Tracks For JUBILEE; Video Available

TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan has recorded the vocals for the song "I Don't Have an Excuse, I Just Need a Little Help" from the new band JUBILEE, featuring Aaron North of NINE INCH NAILS/ THE ICARUS LINE fame and Michael Shuman of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE. Footage of the recording sessions can be viewed below. JUBILEE's upcoming debut album will also feature contributions by Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins ( FOO FIGHTERS), Josh Homme and Joey Castillo ( QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE), Carla Azar ( AUTOLUX) and Josh Freese ( A PERFECT CIRCLE), among others. MJK is a very intelligent man. I don't care if he likes ME or YOU! He IS amazing as a vocalist and as an intellect. He is, to me, the coolest of the cool! There's some craziness going on, on this post... Maynard sure does like him some sid-projects. He's a recording fool. I wouldn't hold my breath for the next Tool release. The last one was not even all that great, IMHO

i think the output of tool material is not solely laid on the shoulders of mjk. the other guys have a lot to do with the time table there. i'm sure mjk does all these projects to keep himself occupied. i miss apc and also wanting new tool although i do feel the last dropped the ball a bit.

Some of Tool's music is outright unique and brilliant. Not to mention that they are very influential. MJK has an amazing voice and his lyrics are just plain old brilliant ESPECIALLY on Lateralus which is one of the best albums I have ever owned. These guys are one of the best rock bands of all time. If you don't get it, like I didn't for a long time, then fine, listen to whatever else. The live album "Salival" is the best live album I have and one of the best albums I have. The versions of the songs are just flat out amazing and then they do "No Quarter" which is phenomenal.
A Perfect Circle is also great. Just because it is different and not as heavy as Tool doesn't mean shit! They are an amazing band. I guess it is fair to say that MJK is one of my favorite vocalists and lyricists of all time. For once there is a guy who really writes deep, meaningful lyrics with SO much substance!

Whether you like the current project Maynard is working on or not you cannot deny his talent. The guy is an amazing vocalist. I personally love Tool and absolutely love APC. I only wish that they could come together for one more album and tour behind it. APC shows were an experience and something I will never forget.
I realize most of you disagree with me but it's my humble opinion.
