VINNIE VINCENT Tribute Album: Complete Track Listing, Release Date Revealed - Aug. 6, 2008
SplitScreen Entertainment has set an August 27 release date for its upcoming tribute album "Kiss My Ankh: A Tribute To Vinnie Vincent".

Though Vinnie Vincent himself has not released any new material in over a decade, "Kiss My Ankh" will pay tribute to the undeniable musical legacy of the former KISS guitarist. Vinnie's compositions are widely regarded as a highlight of the KISS catalog and remain a staple of the live KISS set list. Included on the tribute are selections from the three KISS albums to which Vinnie contributed, as well as the two albums he released with the VINNIE VINCENT INVASION.

"Kiss My Ankh: A Tribute To Vinnie Vincent" track listing:

01. Killer - DOUBLEVIRGO
02. I Still Love You - GODS OF FIRE
03. Lick It Up - FUTURE 86
04. A Million To One - STEVE BROWN
05. Boyz Are Gonna Rock - MIKE WEEKS (with Andre LaBelle and T.J. Racer)
06. Back on the Streets - JAZAN WILD
07. That Time of Year - SHELDON TARSHA, RYAN ROXIE, MARKO PUKKILA, TROY PATRICK FARRELL
08. Love Kills - VIC RIVERA / KELLI MCCLOUD
09. Unholy - CURSE GOD AND DIE
10. I Just Wanna - THE DEAD ZOO KEEPERS

...the upcoming tribute album of my neighbor's nephew! They've apparently run out of musicians to pay tribute to, when this nobody gets his songs covered by a collection of even smaller nobodys.

Wherever Vinnie is today I'm sure he must be...um, honored that the likes of, um...uh...Future 86 and Mike Weeks have seen fit to pay tribute to him. I guess that's really one of those moments that tell you that you've made it.

By the way, wasn't 'Back on the Streets' an old unused Ace Frehley song?

Can a get a "Hail To The Pink One!"?

I have to admit- other than two/three songs, it sucks, and so does the artwork.

"Split Screeen Entertainment" = Labrador doo doo

Spit Scream Entertainment should have done themselves a favor and kept the sound clips off the 'net. Now they won't sell squat, imho.

was a Vinnie song that Frehley's Comet demoed but never released. Vinnie should come out of retirement he is a great song writer. Even KISS recognised that several times.

what was the deal when the vinnie vincent invasion toured with an entirely female crew? Anyone remember something about this? I dont remember cause even when I was in my 20s back in the mid 80s, I knew VVI was really lame and I never would have gone to see that lame poser metal. Even if I had free tickets! Im just curious if a story I heard back in the day is actually true.

He's a good guitarist and that is really it. He might be a decent songwriter but he had his chance and he blew it while the rest of his band flew off into Slaughter and made all that money for those few years there. Whatever.

I love the 2 Vinnie Vincent albums! I mean, there are some great songs with good music there, but the idea of a tribute album for a guy who himself remained moderately obscure and who unfortunately failed at making a splash (on his own)
is useless. How can a group of largely unknown musicians performing a poor man's version of the original make any kind of impact 20 years later? I'm curious so will take a listen, but I'm not gonna pay for something like this...
