LINKIN PARK Covers GUNS N' ROSES 'Sweet Child O' Mine'; Video Available

Telling fans you can't always take yourselves so seriously, the members of LINKIN PARK put on blond wigs and performed the opening verse of the GUNS N' ROSES hit "Sweet Child O' Mine" at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin on Saturday (August 16) during their Projekt Revolution tour. Watch fan-filmed video footage of the brief performance below. The fifth edition of the Projekt Revolution tour got underway on July 16 in Boston. The festival-type trek also features CHRIS CORNELL, THE BRAVERY, ATREYU, 10 YEARS, ASHES DIVIDE, HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS, ARMOR FOR SLEEP and STREET DRUM CORPS. As with previous LINKIN PARK tours, one dollar from each ticket sold is going to the group's charity foundation, Music For Relief, to support disaster relief and reduce global warming.

This EMO band wanted to get noticed again and talked about on blabbermouth, so they do a shitty verse of a great song. Can you blame them? Their music will never be taken seriously by any music fan.

but you guys ripping on their cover of GNR is really just making yourselves look like a bunch of dumbasses. lol they put on stupid blonde wigs and were obviously doing the (brief) cover of the song (or part of it) as a parody, mocking Axl and/or GNR or that era/genre. So obviously they weren't even trying to play it for real. The real question here is WHY?? What the fuck was the point?
