BRING ME THE HORIZON Confirmed For UK's READING, LEEDS Festivals - Aug. 21, 2008
Sheffield, Yorkshire, England-based deathcore band BRING ME THE HORIZON has been confirmed to perform on the main stage at this weekend's Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK. The band will play Leeds on Friday, August 22 and Reading on Sunday, August 24. Stage time is 12:00 p.m. (noon) for both.

"The Comedown", the new video from BRING ME THE HORIZON, can be viewed below. The track comes off the group's new album, "Suicide Season", which is due on October 6 via Visible Noise (the CD will be available for digital download on September 29).

"Suicide Season" track listing:

01. The Comedown
02. Chelsea Smile
03. It Was Written In Blood
04. Death Breath
05. Football Season Is Over
06. The Sadness Will Never End
07. Sleep With One Eye Open
08. Diamonds Aren't Forever
09. No Need for Introductions, I've Read About Girls Like You on the Back of Toilet Doors
10. Suicide Season

The follow-up to 2006's "Count Your Blessings", "Suicide Season" was recorded at Studio Fredman in in Arboga, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström (ARCH ENEMY, DIMMU BORGIR) and according to frontman Oli Sykes, the isolation of recording an hour away from anywhere had its advantages.

"We recorded 'Count Your Blessings' in the middle of Birmingham and it was very easy to get distracted," he told Kerrang.com. "Arboga is a village with nothing in it apart from a tiny shop and that was it. We actually lived at the studio so it meant we could all just focus on the music. Fredrik was a cool guy, and he taught us how to do stuff, so at night after he'd gone home we'd still be recording the album."

According to Sykes, the new record — which features guest appearances from vocalist Sam Carter of ARCHITECTS and electronic mangler Luis Dubuc of THE SECRET HANDSHAKE — sees the quintet moving away from the sound of its first album.

"I'd say it's more rock than metal," he tells Kerrang.com. "It's heavy though, and it sounds a lot fatter and beefier. We've also done some mellower tracks too."

BRING ME THE HORIZON's debut album, "Count Your Blessings", was released in North America on August 14, 2007 via Earache Records.

"No Need for Introductions, I've Read About Girls Like You on the Back of Toilet Doors" might be the greatest song title EVER.
