KISS Teams Up With VANS

Vans, the original skate shoe company, and legendary rock band KISS have announced the Vans x KISS Sk8-Hi shoe and t-shirt package! The first offering in the Vans x KISS series commemorates the 30th anniversary of KISS' groundbreaking solo albums: Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley. Released on September 18, 1978, the solo albums represented the first time ever that all the members of a band released solo works on the same day. Coincidentally, the Vans Sk8-Hi, one of the Vans' earliest skate shows, debuted the very same year. Available in late fall, the Vans Sk8-Hi and t-shirt will be sold separately at better footwear stores and boutiques worldwide as well as on Vans.com. Look for additional collaborations created by Vans and KISS in 2009.

What's going to be great is I will guarantee that Ace outsells the others by a HUGE margin. Just like the solo albums. Too bad HE won't see a dime.... I guess that's his own fault though.

I like all the 70"s ,some 80's , all the 90's, and will continue to listen to it, if they come out with a new cd, i will get it, if not ,it doesnt make a shit, dont buy the other shit if you dont want

Hey brother, missed you the other day - no i never finished listening to his first solo, i bought the second one and couldnt finish it either, most of the songs sounds like he is sitting on a piano singing along with a drum machine. Hope all is well.

It's a shame, coz his Kiss stuff round that time was pretty good; 'Hooligan' is fun and 'Dirty Livin' is one of my favourites. And the cover is cool. But, holy crap, that is a bad album. I've never been tempted to listen to any of his others... mind you, I thought Ace's Trouble Walkin' was rubbish too

Yeah, i bought Trouble Walkin for one or two songs, hey i have a chance to go see the Boss in Hershey Pa, next month, im going to be up there for a week, im not a huge fan but ive herd he does a great show.

Go go go! I saw him on the Rising tour in '03, having waited 15 years, and it was fantastic, one of the best shows I've ever seen. The new album is great too, so you've no worries if he plays loads off it
Suddenly my plans to see Siouxsie of the Banshees look a great deal less impressive!

1. get a life
2. why read anything about KISS if you have crap to say?
3. don't like it ? don't buy it
4. maybe they are selling out - but give them credit for making more money than most people
5. the 70's music [and some of the 80's and 90's] speaks for itself - regardless of what they are doing now..they still influenced a shitload of artists
6. Ace was always the best solo album

I have been a KISS fan for 30 years. I rarely buy this kind of shit though. I loved them in the 70's, though the 80's were ok, and the 90's had some good shit too.
The reunion was awesome.
This year in Australia they did a good job on stage. Tommy and Eric were excellent. The shows were good.
Sure, I want new albums. I want new costumes... but I dont think we will get it. I am glag KISS is still playing now. I would much rather see KISS live as a good memory of the 70's than Emerson, Lake & Palmer!
So once again, if you don't like the merch, don't buy it! If you dont like any band, why the fuck do you read about them and then take the time to make a comment. Sounds like you got nothing else to do. Maybe time to get the Wal-Mart catalogue out and jerk off to the underwear section.

But if I'm not wrong here, I think there will only be one pair of shoes with a different member on each side. 2 members on one shoe and 2 on the other. so I don't think Ace will have the opportunity to outsell the others.
