AC/DC: 'Rock 'N Roll Train' 30-Second Preview Available - Aug. 22, 2008
A 30-second preview of the new AC/DC single, "Rock 'N Roll Train", has been posted on the band's official MySpace page.

As previously reported, Spanish-language AC/DC fan site AC/DC Blog de Noticias has posted several photos from the video shoot for "Rock 'N Roll Train", which took place on Friday, August 15 in London, England. The song will be the first taste of the band's new "Black Ice" album, due in October.

According to Undercover News, one fan at the shoot said in an online posting, the song "has a heavy driving drumbeat with bass being loud n hard to me. It sounded like a cross between 'Hard As A Rock' and 'All Screwed Up'."

The fans were told to jump and wave their arms while they were filmed for the chorus of the song which goes "Runaway train, running off the track."

The set looked something like "Terminator" with big cogs turning and flaming flying out.

A detailed report on the "Rock 'N Roll Train" video shoot can be found on the Metal Hammer web site.

"Black Ice" will be released on October 20 via Columbia Records. The CD features 15 new tracks from brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, Brian Johnson, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd. The album was recorded in Vancouver in just eight weeks with producer Brendan O'Brien, who has previously worked with PEARL JAM, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and VELVET REVOLVER, among others.

"Black Ice" will be sold in the U.S. exclusively at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club retail locations at the special price of $11.88. Online, the CD will be available with free shipping and handling via the band's web site, www.acdc.com. It will also be sold at Walmart.com and Samsclub.com.

As one of America's largest music retailers, Wal-Mart will join with Columbia Records to launch multiple activities for fans in celebration of the new CD album, including new product features and promotions to come this fall that will bring fans closer to one of history's greatest rock bands.

"No Bull: The Director's Cut", a newly edited, comprehensive DVD and of the band's famed July 1996 Plaza De Toros De Las Ventas concert in Madrid, Spain, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray September 9, 2008.

"Black Ice" is AC/DC's first new studio effort since 2000's "Stiff Upper Lip".

The legendary rockers are slated to begin an 18-month world tour in October, with the trek reportedly kicking off on around Halloween in Chicago.

"Black Ice" track listing:

01. Rock 'N Roll Train
02. Skies On Fire

They could've honestly remastered any older CD/DC song, and took a clip from that and i would've believed it was their new song.
I think it sounds like pretty much every single they've ever released.

But at the same time, I'm glad they can still sound like themselves 30 years later.

Another once great band choosing to suck the ancient, shriveled dick of Sam Walton.

That is the AC/DC sound. What else can you ask for? You want them to sound like some 20 year old pop band? This is classic AC/DC! A band that doesnt stray away from what makes them great. To hell with those that want them to change their sound!

why would anyone complain about this and call themselves a rocker. the same people that bitch about ac/dc sounding the same are the same people who listen to grunt and growl music. you know the type of music that sound excatly the same with a different name in front of the band. let's see fast guitars turned up loud with someone grunting and growling in a pathetic attempt at singing . but that is cool and a band like ac/dc isnt? sorry I will take riffs that sound familiar and a leather throated voice you can understand any day over that shit! this song and the album kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sure anything that doesn't need edited will do well at wal mart like Journey,Eagles or yes even AC DC. If you swear on your CD wal amrt will edit it. Why doesn't the industry blame wal mart for the decline in sales of CD's because even though they sell more CD's than anywhere else they could sell even more if they would sell unedited music. There are hardly no outlets for most people to buy unedited music unless you buy from the net or drive to the city. I blame wal mart for the decline in sales of the CD's as much as illegal downloading. I mean you can buy viloent video games and movies with tits and ass but no metal with swear words. Just like christianity , nothing but a contradiction. Buy your guns and beer but no ROCK N ROLL.

I like the production, unlike Rick Rubin's sh*t job on Ballbreaker, which, despite the awesome title track, sounded like it was recorded by a bunch of 10 year olds in their bedroom.
