ROCKSTAR ENERGY MAYHEM Concert Seat Altercation Leads To Assault Charge - Aug. 23, 2008

According to InsideNoVa.com, a man accused of refusing to get out of a seat that he wasn't supposed to be in at the Bristow, Virginia stop of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival tour was charged with assault and battery, Prince William County police said.

Brock Edward MacKellar, 21, Frederick, Md., was removed from the concert around 10 p.m. Sunday (August 17) after allegedly yelling and making threats to a staff member who was trying to get him to move to the seat that matched his ticket, said police spokeswoman Sharon Richardson.

That's when MacKellar apparently began to fight with the employee, a 28-year-old Haymarket man, police said.

MacKellar was released on his own recognizance, Richardson said, but a court date was not available.

The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival lineup included SLIPKNOT, DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD, DRAGONFORCE, MASTODON, AIRBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, BLACK TIDE and others.

	But when somebody who paid money for it comes to claim it then be a man and go back to your original seat. And anybody that would fight an usher over a seat is a total pussy...... turn that joker over the the trained thugs for an asskicking that he deserves!

	I went to Mayhem and yes I was in the wrong seat. during Slipknot, the last band, there were about 50 seats that no one was sitting in, probably were disturbed fans that had left. so slipknot is on and I am in a seat that is closer than mine, and the staff would not let me stay there. ok I was wrong, but there was only 20 minutes left in the concert and no one wanted to sit there I was not being rude to anyone. when they would tell me to move I would, but I think that it was kinda stoopid becasue no one was going to sit there. in the past the staff would usuallyleave about 30 minutes before the end of a concert and I could always go closer. in conclusion the staff at Mayhem were pree much ass holes.
