Crowd Crush Halts RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Show

According to The Pulse of Radio, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's headlining set at England's Leeds Festival on Saturday (August 23) was halted midway through the fourth song by festival organizers because of crowd issues. Concertgoers at the front were apparently being crushed against the barriers by fans pushing from behind, leading organizers to cut the band's sound and lights. After a brief meeting with security, singer Zack de la Rocha announced, "We don't want to have to stop the show. Help our brothers and sisters up front. Everyone take a couple of steps back."
The rest of the show, which had started half an hour late, proceeded without incident.
The previous night (Friday, August 22) at the Reading Festival, the band came onstage in prison outfits worn by Guantanamo inmates.
RAGE's performance at Chicago's Lollapalooza festival earlier this month was also marked by tense crowd conditions.
The politically explosive quartet next plays on Wednesday (August 27) in Denver during the Democratic National Convention, before heading to Minnesota next week to play in protest of the Republican Convention.

I have been coming to this website for a couple years now, and it seems to me that the people that post here have slowly but surley become more boxed into their own tiny world. It seems impossible for most of you to have a civil conversation, to not reply to a well constructed opinon with a direct insult not to mention an insult that a 3 year old would come up with. What ever happend to intelligent people with intellegent things to say and civil conversation. You all need to grow up.
The world needs another Rage album, and if you think rage against the machine is a shitty band that makes shitty music and dosent stand for anything, or if you dont belive the truth and stand in the way of it you are on of the blind and weak and when shit hits the fan your going to be one of the people standing there scratching their head with a real dumb look on your face.

I didnt think the government was responsible until i actually started doing my own reaserch and the evidence that points in that direction is staggering. I find it funny that soo many people just belive the bullshit they are told, and then argue points and conclusions they themselves have no evidence or proof to back up. Before a point is argued do you not agree that you should at least know what you are talking about, you should at least take the time to look into it.

i have done my own research and that is the conclusion i have come to. The 9/11 conspiracy is a nice idea, but there are too many holes in it...not to say there aren't holes in the official story either. The thing that swings it for me is that for a government fronted by Bush to keep the whole thing under wraps for this long is pretty much impossible...unless they just didn't tell him :P

For example how many of you know that 3 buildings collapes on 9/11 the twin towers and wtc building #7. I am failry certain that a large marjority of you do not even know that building 7 fell. All 3 buildings have all the features of a controlled demolition when they fell and building 7 was never even hit by a plane. there are reports of molten metal at the site engine fuel cannot burn hot enough to cause molten metal. This was the first time in history that a steel framed building collapsed from a fire not to mention it fell at free fall speed wich is pysically impossible unless the floors are detached to allow no resistance.

The fact of the matter is the people are on the verge of awakeing from a terrible nightmere only to find out that not only is it reality but the situation is worse than anyone thought. We as north americans seem to think we are exept from all the terrible things that have happend to all the other great empires of the past but we are not we have been fooled and pushed into a little box were we think we are safe but the reality is people we are probably the most inslaved country in the world. i have watched a documentary on that and read up on it and yes if you watch the video of WTC 7 collapsing it is suspiciously uniform...and there was one fireman who on the day shouted "It's coming down" just before it collapsed...how was he to know...^^ however to have rigged the building with explosives without anyone noticing would have been very difficult, and to have rigged the building with explosives while it was being built is unlikely, as explosives have short shelf lives. a considerable amount of debris fell from one of the collapsing towers onto WTC 7...however there is no pictures or video footage of that side of the building...(coincidence?)
It may be the first time in history a steel framed building collapsed from a fire...however these are exceptional circumstances, the emergency services had no resources to spare to try and put out the fires...they burned freely for hours and if a single floor failed then all the floors above would fall resulting in the freefall motion...but as there is no similar situations to which you can compare this one you can never say...you can bet your bottom dollar they will never publish the report on WTC 7 though :)

Regardless of what you or I think about the political viewpoints of the members of RATM, the truth is this:
-Their politics add immense passion and intensity to their art.
-They are an extremely talented group of musicians.
-They make awesome, innovative music and are fierce in concert.
-Even in a low brow forum such as this, a news article about the band is causing people to debate international and global issues.
I hope no one was seriously injured at the show.

Either way this was just the tip of the iceburg its time for people to wake the fuck up and actually do somthing. We do still claim to be a democracy and it seems to me that the people are scared of the goverment, yet isnt the whole point of this setup for the government to represent us and be our voice. That dosent mean make decisions for us or hide things from us and have secret oporations coming out of the ass. That dosent mean forcing an illigal unconstiutional tax on the people and it defiantly dosent mean destroying our rights and freedoms. Imagine what would happen if everyone in america went on strike and it was decided the economy would not move until everything was fixed. We are the oil that keeps the gears turning they are powerless unless we give them the power and thats what we are doing.

The fireman said the building was coming down before it did? So we can blame one fireman? This is similar to when a fireman will set a fire out of boredom so his crew will have something to do for a change. Yes there are firefighters that do that. Or maybe it was the whole group. Did they get orders from the prez '...uh, I'm using my executive privilege to have you push that button'. And was the firefighter in the know about what exactly was gonna happen? Sounds that way if he said it was coming down before it happened. So what's the implications?

1. England needs to wake up and get second barriers at concerts. even more so for big festivals. because having 30/40/50 thousand people pushing is only ever gonna end up in injuries if not worse.
2. RATM cant be anymore than money grabbing hypocritcal bastards. they were getting paid millions to play the carling weekend(wish is a massive corporation, which they apparently fight against). they refused there footage to be show on the BBC, which doesnt help to spread the message. and basically they got back together as there all broke. like ever other shit reunion of the past 10 years.
