SLIPKNOT: Making Of 'Psychosocial' Video To Air On FUSE TV - Aug. 28, 2008

Fuse TV will broadcast a special show featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of SLIPKNOT's "Psychosocial" video.

Tuesday, September 2 - 1:30am EST/10:30pm PST
Friday, September 5 - 8:30pm EST/5:30pm PST
Wednesday, September 10 - 11:30pm EST/8:30pm PST
Sunday, September 14 - 3:30am EST/12:30am PST

"Psychosocial" was nominated in the "Best Rock Video" category at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The event, hosted by British comic and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" co-star Russell Brand, will be broadcast live at 9 p.m. on September 7 from the legendary Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood.

According to Hits Daily Double (the companion web site of music industry tip sheet HITS), SLIPKNOT's new album, "All Hope Is Gone" is poised to sell between 230,000 and 250,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release. The CD will go head-to-head with Geffen rapper THE GAME's "L.A.X." for the top spot on next week's The Billboard 200 chart.

SLIPKNOT's last album, "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)", opened with 243,000 copies back in June 2004 to debut at No. 2. "Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)" was the follow-up to "Iowa", which registered a first-week sales tally of more than 254,000 copies back in September 2001 to enter The Billboard 200 chart at No. 3.

	I bash these guys 'cause the lead singer sings like the guy from new found glory, and in concert he raps like vanilla ice. These choruses are just too fucking sensitive for me. Sweet-like-bear-meat. And even though the drummer is pretty fuckin good, the studio production on his kit sounds like hes beating on fucking wooden blocks. Combined with all the other bullshit (masks, clownish stage-dancers, dj, samples, etc) it makes this band an absolute joke. The only people who listen to this shit are those that dont know any better. If I had to guess, I'd say children and paint-huffers mostly.

	Slipknot for the last few years were a great band and now ??? The new album sounds like a good Stone Sour record, which is pretty lame. Hey I'm all for good songs, but come on guys, the guitar is too clean, too much clean vocal for Corey and some of the songs seemed forced. Sorry guy's onto bigger and better things... I kissed a girl and I liked it....Now that's a catchy tune. *****No horns for the 'KNOT' this time... I just listen to Iowa...
