JANE'S ADDICTION, MEGADETH Classics Among New Albums Being Offered By 'Rock Band 2' - Aug. 28, 2008
According to Entertainment Weekly, JANE'S ADDICTION's "Nothing's Shocking" and MEGADETH's "Peace Sells...but Who's Buying?" are among the full-length albums will be added to Rock Band's extensively stocked catalogue of downloadable music, comprising part of the total 500-track pool that developer Harmonix Music Systems has promised in 2008.

The game began offering full album downloads earlier this year, kicking off with JUDAS PRIEST's "Screaming for Vengeance". "We're surprised by how many people opted to get full albums," says Paul Degooyer, Senior Vice President at MTV Games. "But it's a good value proposition. Talk about something that's been lost and forgotten."

Hard to imagine "Standing in the Shower, Thinking" and "Nothing's Shocking" as video game tracks, but it's intriguing. I wonder if the younger part of the audience (I'm guessing most of it) will buy 'em. Jane's = the evolutionary culmination of classic/album rock.

Before he became a celebrity, Dave Navarro was one of the underrated greats. Not a grade-A super-shredder, but the guy plays with feeling.
