METALLICA's FMQB Special To Be Hosted By DAVE GROHL, TAYLOR HAWKINS - Aug. 28, 2008
According to FMQB.com, next week's FMQB Productions broadcast special, "Metallica: The World Premiere Of Death Magnetic", will be hosted by FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins. The pair will sit down with METALLICA for a live broadcast from 'TALLICA HQ on Thursday, September 4, giving an exclusive look into one of the most anticipated albums of 2008.

METALLICA made it official with the following post on its web site: "You may have heard a little something about a radio show being broadcast live from our very own HQ . . . well, we figured it would be a lot more fun if we invited some 'TALLICA fans to come hang with us and low and behold, one thing led to another and FOO FIGHTERS' Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins actually said 'yes!' So on Thursday, September 4, we're going to hang out, play tracks from 'Death Magnetic' and chat with Dave and Taylor."

"The World Premiere Of Death Magnetic" will air on stations across the country starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. The 60-minute program will feature James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo giving fans an exclusive look at "Death Magnetic". Keep an eye out at Metallica.com for a listing of stations carrying this program... or call your local rock station and ask them about it. "Death Magnetic" hits the streets worldwide on Friday, September 12.

Earlier this year, Grohl told Metal Hammer magazine how psyched he was for METALLICA's return. Grohl said, "I can't wait to hear the new shit, and no matter what you guys do I'll always be first one at the shop waiting to hear it. I'm sure you'll come out and blow everybody's fuckin' minds, because you're fuckin' METALLICA! Good luck. And don't release it until it's kick-ass." He jokingly added, "P.S. Are you finished recording the drums yet?"

Thats more or less the truth, the "haters" are the biggest sheep of all. There is a huge difference in having critical input and just mouthing of like an idiot, the last example can be used about the majorety of the so called "haters.

A bunch of pansy ass posers. But since we are all entitled to a lil voice out here in cyberspace, i'm going to voice my opinion here and say that 'Tallica and Foo Fighters....that would be a kick ass tour! It would the be the FooTallica World Death Jam Tour. Metallica's promoting Death Magnetic, Foo Fighters are there just to jam and kick ass with Metallica and it would be a kick ass show to see.

Would be a fucking kickass tour.

If only Lars got sick again.... then Dave could drum :D That would be fucking ace. He did a sick job drumming for Queens Of The Stoneage, and even bits and pieces of Nirvana have some sick drum parts (for those who don't know, Nevermind was mixed by Andy Wallace, the same guy who mixed Seasons In The Abyss).

Apparently Kurt wanted someone who wasn't part of the grunge scene to mix the album, but once it was released he bitched about it "sounding too much like Motley Crue". Wow, I'm actually glad that the guy necked himself, he really never had anything positive to say about the world....

Back on track, I think that there should be another Probot album. Preferable singers:
Tom Araya
Chuck Billy
Bruce Dickinson
Max Cavelera
Dave Mustaine
Robb Flynn
Corey Taylor (new Slipknot album is sic, Corey hasn't sounded this good in years)

and maybe Dave should take a shot at laying down a sick growl. Anyone else agree?

"Okay...any negatives then? Lars Ulrich. The guy's limitations are laid bare by the spectacular guitar work on this album.

Lars...Lars....Lars...perhaps they should get rid of him?

Mediocre drummer at best, legendary band.

I bet Lars' playing is more inspired on St. Anger than on this one. It's not out of the question. On the three songs I've heard so far there's nothing innovative at all.

Well, the guy said it all. In a nice way, he sucks. They could find a better drummer at 99% of high school proms.

That´s what I always have thought and said here. Lars is the shame of the group, period.

We're talking about Larz who has NO legs not Dave Lombardo who can pull his studio work off in a live setting

"I know Lars is a mediocre drummer and all, but I didn't think his drumming was that bad on 'Justice,''

You´re right, he´s not been the most technical of drummers, he may play other roles within the band, but he has LOST level.

As for Lars, what can I say? His drumming skills are mediocre at best.

Live he sucks in a lot of gigs, because he is sloppy, he could be a great drummer if he exercised his drumming

It makes me sick to think of Metallicrap having a drummer banging on the bongos like a chimpanzee when they could have have any number of drummers that annihilate him.

t's fucking shameful that after all this time, Lars still continues to plaster his "ego" over and through every song.
