VADER Parts Ways With Drummer, Guitarist - Aug. 30, 2008
Polish portal Interia.pl reports that drummer Dariusz "Daray" Brzozowski and guitarist Maurycy "Mauser" Stefanowicz have left the veteran Polish death metal band VADER. According to the Meinl Cymbals web site, Daray will join the Norwegian black metal group DIMMU BORGIR while Mauser will reportedly concentrate on his UNSUN project, which will release its debut album, "The End Of Life", on September 22 via Century Media Records. Their rumored replacements in VADER are former LOST SOUL drummer Adam Sierzega and either Jacek Hiro from SCEPTIC or Waclaw "Vogg" Kieltyka from DECAPITATED on guitar.

Daray and Mauser will apparently play their final concert with VADER tonight (Saturday, August 30) as part of the band's 25-year anniversary show at Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland. The gig, which is officially sold out, will also feature performances from GRAVE, ROTTING CHRIST, DISMEMBER, GOREFEST, MARDUK, NILE, ENTOMBED and SAMAEL. VADER will play a two-hour-plus set, featuring songs from old demo tapes as well as the more popular tracks from the group's recent studio albums. The show will be filmed for an anniversary DVD, tentivately titled "XXV" (to be released in 2009).

As previously reported, VADER has teamed up with Hertz Polska for the production and promotion a new energy drink called "Vader". The band's anniversary gig will be the first opportunity for the fans to enjoy the unique taste of this new drink.

Hertz Polska is going to extend its co-operation with VADER to promote this energy drink on the Polish market. More details will follow soon.

A preview of VADER's "And Blood Was Shed In Warsaw" DVD in the form of the track "Helleluyah!!! (God Is Dead)" is available below.

This is nuts, such a shock news. Seems like it is the end of an era, Mouser really played a pivotal role in this band, great guy and a killer guitarist.

VADER owns and I'd take them any day over Behemoth. They never fucked around, definitely one of the best Death Metal groups of all times.

As for Daray, damn, what happened to Hellhammer? This is fking strange.

Anyway, good luck Peter, time to bring in some fresh blood!

Wow are you kidding me? It seemed that the force that was Peter,Mauser,Daray, and Novy was the best Vader ever had. Ad after Novy left now this?

The reason for leaving to join or progress your current project is a lame excuse. As much as i loved Mausers guitar playing and Daray blasting on the drums a lost a little respect for them as people not musicians.

And Dimmu Borgir!?@?!?@ what happned to the whole Hellhammer thing?

And whats going on with Vesania and Unsun isnt even that great only the chick is hot as tits!

I wonder how that 25th anniversary show went...

Will survive....they did not make it through 25 years without a few bumps in the road. This will be just a temporary set-back...

The guy has never been a permanent band member of Dimmu Borgir. He was just an "hired gun", if I remember well what Shagrath said about him when he started playing for Dimmu Borgir.

First Novy and now them. This coincidence of the 25th anniversary concert marks clearly the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Peter is to Vader as Mille in Kreator, Steve Harris in Maiden, Jon Schaffer in IE, Rock´n´Rolf in Running Wild, Chris Boltendahl in Grave Digger, Jeff Waters in Annihilator... Without them the groups wouldn´t exist, they are the souls, as someone said here. Peter will bring the best replacements for the band. It will take a little longer for the new album, but it will be Vader at its best, I am not worried. This has been the end of an era. First day buyer when it comes out.

This is not still official in the band´s nor Dimmu´s homepages, so let´s see whether this is true or not. For the moment there is no confirmation.

Daray will play with DIMMU BORGIR now and goes with them on the upcoming USA tour in oct./nov.

Hellhammer always was a session drummer for live shows and recordings of one album as far as I know...

In adition to his new commitments with Dimmu Borgir Daray will continue with VESANIA of course!!! }:->
