SLIPKNOT DJ Talks About Onstage Injury; Video Posted Online

On the first date of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival on July 9 in Seattle, Washington — the first SLIPKNOT show in two-and-half years — DJ Sid Wilson reportedly leapt from a riser stationed at the back of the stage and landed hard, breaking both his heels. The UK branch of Roadrunner Records grabbed him for a couple of minutes in Texas to chat with him and find out what the hell happened. Check out the video interview on www.roadrunnerrecords.co.uk. "[ Sid] had to take his cast off last night, and I'm telling you, I couldn't even look at his feet," SLIPKNOT percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan told MTV News in a recent interview. "Both his feet were black and blue — and deep. The bruises go, like, 2 inches in. But he's up there every night, no problem. He's so out of his mind, he's got a big bruise on his face because he's not used to slamming his head in a wheelchair. So he's got a huge bruise on his face from smacking his head into his tables. It never ends. You think you're out of it, and then you're back in, on some other painful level. . . Sid was like, 'I broke my feet, but I can't miss a show, so here I am, in this wheelchair.' The good thing is, he now knows he's not 25 anymore."

Slipknot fucking sucks and they prove it with every new album they release. I've never seen a band lose so many true fans as fast as Slipknot does. So many people just don't care anymore. Oh well though. They'll always have their loyal 15 year-old fans.
Listen to some real metal for once in your lives.

Simply put, and as stated before, Slipknot is "a steaming pile of runny brown defecate in the arena of rock music," a general "urine stain on the pant leg that is modern metal." A "smelly black blob of vaginal discharge floating in the public pool that is todays heavy music scene," a "runny drip of butt butter from an overly excited elderly woman in the local bingo parlor that is today's metal scene."

I crack myself up sometimes. Cause you know sometimes those old ladies have been waiting months just to say it one time...BINGO!!!! I'm just saying...
So onto the topic. Takes dedication to do what he did. I'm sure anyone else would've been on their asses at home, doing fuck all. If you don't like the band, don't post on news topics about them. Get a fucking life. Go outside. Fucking morons. The dude almost kills himself pulling some random stunt, as most musicians in metal do, and breaks his feet during the concert, and all you can do is bitch about the band. Seriously...grow up.

I saw this one old lady comin' out of a bingo hall, and she sees this fuckin' lotto ticket blowin' across the parking lot. She tells the old guy next to her she thinks its a winner, so she ditches the walker and takes off with just her braces and her steely determination...
Then out of nowhere this delivery guy whips around the corner in a cargo van, carrying medical waste, and just as he's comin up on her shes diving for the ticket. He hits his brakes just in time, but she winds up gettin' glass in her face, and she's bleedin and shit, and I'm trying to get her some help and telling her shes gonna be ok, and the old man is yelling at her cuz theyre gonna be late to the buffet...

Honestly, I've been noticing a trend of Slipknot becoming more metal with each release, by which I mean closer to the old-school metal sound than they were on earlier releases. More riffs, thrashing, etc. Early Slipknot fans were a part of the nu-metal/rap-metal movement that is dwindling, and feel betrayed that Slipknot is becoming more old-school metal, a genre they hated to begin with because it wasn't a "new sound". I used to get a lot of shit back in the day when I didn't like Slipknot when they first came out because I was a metalhead who wasn't giving a chance to a "new sound". Anyway, I finally learned to appreciate what Slipknot brings to the table, and now really dig it. In my opinion, they get better with every release. Same thing happened to me with Disturbed & Godsmack. I have to say though, other than those 3 and maybe a few others, I still have a very bad distaste for a huge chunk of the nu-metal movement.
And yes, "All Hope Is Gone" fucking rules.

Can Blabbermouth confirm that they are still reviewing music? No review for Slipknot, Soulfly, Black Stone Cherry. Last major release reviewed was Opeth which is now several weeks old. Get your acts together!
