KREATOR's New Album: First Impressions - Sep. 2, 2008
German thrash legends KREATOR will release a new studio album, likely to be titled "Hordes Of Chaos", via SPV Records in January. Metal Hammer's Dave Ling was among the first journalists to hear its nine songs — ten if you include a two-parter that appears towards the album's end — when guitarist/frontman/songwriter Mille Petrozza flew into London to approve the final mix-down, which was handled by Colin Richardson (MACHINE HEAD, NAPALM DEATH, SLIPKNOT, CARCASS). Basic production had taken place during the summer at Titonus studios in Berlin with producer Moses Schneider.

Read Ling's short report at this location.

A short video teaser for KREATOR's forthcoming studio album can be viewed below.

Producer Moses Schneider previously stated about the CD, "KREATOR is the loudest and fastest band I've ever recorded. We're reaching new levels of intensity with this album. We've managed to capture the true spirit of the band by recording all the basic music live in one room. Except for the vocals, the guitar solos and some melodies there will be no overdubs on this album. It's the most organic KREATOR record ever so far. But don't worry: the songs will be thrash metal brutality in its purest form!"

KREATOR recently issued the "At The Pulse Of Kapitulation - Live In East Berlin 1990" DVD featuring the previously released "Live in East Berlin" and "Hallucinative Comas", both re-edited and previously only available on VHS video cassette.

Ventor is a fine example of a drummer that is still practising, and his drumming on each new album are better and better always slay. Unlike some other unnamed drummer wich should be doing the same instead of auditioning for a marching band.
Can´t wait for this album to be released.

I was cautious about this whole "live" recording they wanted to do - but if the album sounds like that snippet - BRING IT ON!

I think I know the name of that `unnamed´ drummer. Agree 100% with u in all, can´t wait for the album. If that is the title, it simply SLAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe too few songs for 4 years between each album. Anyway, all hail the leading European thrash band, with the permission of Sodooooooooooooom!!!!!!!!!!!

This sounds like the same way Metallica recorded Death Magnetic. Nobody's noticed that? And yet you still manage to blame Metallica for copying other bands...

What album/song would people recommend to start. I got Terrible Certainty the other day, fantastic album. That and Coma of Souls are my favourites from this band. The clip didn't actually sound that great, Mille's vocals aren't what they once were.
