JUDAS PRIEST: New Video Interview Available

Robert Williams of Metal-Rules.com conducted an interview with Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing of JUDAS PRIEST prior to the band's August 24, 2008 concert in San Antonio, Texas. Watch the 13-minute chat below. JUDAS PRIEST will perform a free outdoor mini-concert on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on September 2 in Hollywood, California, with two songs set to air that evening. Tickets to attend the taping, which will begin around 6:15 p.m., are available at www.1iota.com. Everyone must be at least 16 years old with a valid ID, and no knapsacks or bags of any kind will be allowed at the outdoor performance (all of this information and more is included when they get tickets). JUDAS PRIEST is currently taking part in the "Metal Masters Tour" alongside TESTAMENT, HEAVEN AND HELL and MOTÖRHEAD. The band's new double-disc concept album, "Nostradamus", has sold 87,000 copies in the United States since its June 17 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD shifted 42,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 11 on The Billboard 200 chart. This marks the band's highest-ever chart position in the U.S. In Canada, the CD opened at position No. 9 after shifting close to 4,000 units.

We saw this show last week here in Phoenix and Rob IS the metal GOD.
They were absolutely fucking great and so were Motorhead.
LOL
The next day my Mom even asked me what a "Motorizer"is.

how can that be their highest charting with only 42K sales, in their heyday they must have sold much more? How does 42K get you at #9, 42K in sales isn't much. Not dissing, just wondering.

I love how Halford & Co just live for Metal, 100% commitment. They eat metal shavings for breakfast, wear steal wool socks, these guys are in it til death. Leather sheets on their beds. The works.

but a great man on & off the stage, salt of the earth. Still wears the leather well, it matches his face. If you saw him with is back to you at a bar, you'd say "what do we have here, a Cougar", tap him on the should only to find you have a withered old rocker staring at you, face dripping off, but ready to rip your heart out with his riffs, & show it to you! whoa, KK's got a devoted female fanbase, that would still love to devour him in his now loose leather trousers. KK knew full well, as a young man, that banging his head as such, touring the world & else where as a embassador of METAL, and viewing Halfords lifestyle, his face would soon droop faster than than Halford's privates looking at a Playboy. (is this thing on?)

I'm laughing at the fact that people are bashing KK's appearance here. The man is damn near 60 years old and still looks essentially the same as he did in 1985 (minus the perm!). You had better hope to look half as cool as KK when you're 60...

I think not! I am basKing in KK's glory! I celebrate his whole catalogue...and his look! His hair is PERFECT, to quote Warren Z. The perm years were a mistake, but he's back! Glorious man. My apologies to anyone who'd think I'd bash the mighty KK. His face is pulled taut on a nightly basis, everytime he stands in front of his Marshall stack, while rifling out "Green Manaleshi (with a 2 prong crown!"). No my friend, I salute KK in my posts.

I was there too. What a storm during Devil's Child! RJD and Hlaford both did well, but they should have started the show later. There wasn't anybody there for Testament and Motorhead. They all played one hell of a show and I wouldn't have missed it for the world, but it would have been nice to see more people showing some love for those two.

saw priest sunday in the bay area...what a pathetic setlist...plus halford is so over the top and full of himself...wake up priet fans, the new album along with the setlist on this tour SUCKS.....what a f... rip off.
