STUCK MOJO Hard At Work On New Album - Sep. 3, 2008
Atlanta rap/metal pioneers STUCK MOJO are hard at work on the follow-up to 2006's "Southern Born Killers". According to a posting on guitarist/main composer Rich Ward's web site, Ward is on his way to the UK to do some mixing at producer Andy Sneap's (MEGADETH, MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY, EXODUS) Backstage studio. Rich will be holed up at Andy's for the next eight days, putting in some seriously long hours to get as much accomplished as possible in the relatively short timeframe. Then it's back to the U.S. to prepare for the European dates that begin at the end of the month.

As usual, there will be some surprises as far as the new songs are concerned. According to Rich, one track sounds like it would have fit quite well on 2000's "Declaration Of A Headhunter".

If you've enjoyed the various twists and turns that MOJO records have taken in the past (stylistically speaking), then you should enjoy this one. If you're waiting for them to rehash stuff they've done before, you might be somewhat disappointed.

In a recent interview with Hit Parader magazine, Ward stated about the songwriting process for the band's follow-up to "Southern Born Killers", "I just started the writing process for the new album and so far the stuff I'm coming up with is the stuff dreams are made of. You know what they say, if you don't love yourself.... I've got the next two months set aside to completely dedicate myself to this album and I've never been more excited about making the doughnuts! You know, almost all artists think that their latest album is their best, or at least they almost always state that in interviews. For most bands, it is usually NOT the case, but it ALWAYS is for us!"

I'm not a rap fan by any means yet Stuck Mojo somehow does rap & metal in just the right way! They are the best in their category of music hands down!

Mojo are a good solid band, and it's amazing they've lasted this long... looking forwards to hearing the new album, especially since Lord Nelson has had time to gel with the band.

I had the plesure of touring recently (unfortuneately with Rich Ward and his side kick). I must let Suck Mojo fans know that he could care less about you. He only cares about himself.

Rock on

I have seen them live on numerous occasions. One of the best acts in the business.

I still get goose bumps when I listen to Declaration of Headhunter. Any metal guitarist should listen to that album on their knees and "learn".

mojo rule..
and to the poster about touring with them,i toured with them a couple of times in the last few years and found rich to be a charming and generous person, and the same can be said for the other members of his band...
guess you must have pissed them off somehow

Mobius Loop, or "John E. Smooth," (seriously?) please offer some more details on what you mean when you say "Rich Ward doesn't care for his fans." That's a pretty bold statement.

What did he say or do to make you say that? I'm curious.
